I think it is unfair to say that Newton was the difference in that game. Give the kids some credit. It didn't seem like many adjustments were made at the half. Looked like Henderson's inexperience just got the better of them. Didn't really recognize any of those Henderson kids last night so this was probably a big stage for them. The Newton hero worship is interesting. As Madisonville native that follows the region very closely, it seems like this is the first year Newton has ever beat Smithhart- even in Christian County's rebuilding year (2012?) when Webster was heavily favored to win. We will see if Newton is as good as you all think he is when he graduates his whole team this year like Henderson did last year.
