Guess that solidifies SK as #2 behind Ryle
-
Typical HHS v NCC battle.
I think that ref had his yellow card on spring load.
Handed the Birds 3 cards in about as many minutes. Probably less!
-
You must not feel THAT bad for the kid since you've now embarrassed him online.
Yep. Don't feel that bad really. He refuses to be a team player.
I can see where he gets it from.
-
Please tell me that didn't all go down? I didn't make the trip to the Ville last night.
We're parents and kids yelling and booing a coach W about their child not playing?
NO.
At least one parent was yelling at coach and players. Don't know if the other :poop:heads were parents. Don't think so. I can't imagine anyone other than that kids dad and HIS friends yelling at the coach to put him in.
AN ADULT yelling at a player on the sideline to come here and i'll stomp your "rear" and that they'll drag the player off the field and do it.
It's a good thing the bench was so far from the fence where the idiots were.
-
Is this a trick?
trick?
Video works fine.
Hoped we'd be able to get a replay of the sideline stands action.
The 240lb punter that still thinks he's a qb also has a dad who thinks the boy is a qb.
So much so that he needed to yell at the bench and coach W all night about not putting him in. So much so that he even got into it with players.
Feel bad for the kid. Has to be embarrassing.
What sane adult thinks yelling at the coach, calling him names, and other things -during a game- would result in their son getting on the field?
-
Yes, I stated it at the beginning of the year they had Zero depth at line. I counted 17 total lineman on JV/Varsity and 2 are no longer with the team. But hey they have a 250 lb punter.
Surprised he's still the punter. Seems like they have other options.

And this is this dilemma that is holding Highlands back from greatness? :deadhorse:
From greatness? No. Not at all.
Greatness has been achieved over the last 100+ years. It will take more than a couple of years of being average to take that away.

"What's cute is that one of the biggest dudes on the team, a senior, wouldn't step up to play the line because he still thinks he's a quarterback."
I'm confused and this is a serious question - kids get to pick where they play in football? Doesn't the coach tell them where to play?
My thoughts exactly.
But on the flip side, the kid may very well just let the defense through without trying, since he doesn't want to play there.
So I think it's really more like the kid decides where he wants to play, coach decides whether he gets off the bench.

No one from Campbell said they were. You better worry about your birds because that team that's not all that and a bag of chips hung an L on your boys.
I'm not worried about my birds. They'll be fine.
-
Soo much for the Camels being all that and a bag of chips this year...
-
That sounds like a coaching problem to me.
Coaching problem? The coach can force a kid to play the line?
Kid thinks he's a QB still but won't see the field at that position, likely, ever again. You can't make him be a team player.
-
I dont get this either, that got that brand new field house and weight room and their oline is weak, doesnt make sense.
3 of the starting Oline out injured.
Running back Grant Murray steps up to play center.
Knew it was going to be a rough one tonight.
What's cute is that one of the biggest dudes on the team, a senior, wouldn't step up to play the line because he still thinks he's a quarterback.
-
He had a bum leg and couldn't move very well. He was out of position frequently. Threw several questionable flags, including the roughing the kicker.
I guess the ADA applies to refs as well?
-
White hat was horrible!

Saw the pictures on fb.
Maybe that back judge saw his run at the receiver.
You saw "a" picture on facebook? Hmm ok.I'll let the highlighted text speak for itself.
-
No maybe about it.The crown of his helmet is clearly down.
Saw the pictures on fb.
Maybe that back judge saw his run at the receiver.
-
Maybe so maybe not. My issue is it was called by the back judge who was 10-15 yards away and not the side judge who was less than 5 yards away and a far better angle.
I'll respect the call as it was bang bang but glad no one was hurt.
8 had his head down several steps before making contact, his arm was in.
There was never an attempt at a tackle. He intended to put a bad hit on and should have been tossed!
-
Wow sounds like it was a fun/great game to watch!
Except for the Cooper boys puking on the field
-
I am telling you, Cooper is out of shape.
It's looking like they are having injuries so they can get a break without the timeout
-
The Meyer girl have about half of those?
It was 2 or 3.
Claudia Hils had 2 or 3 as well.
-
Highlands 9 Conner 0
-
I was going to say the same thing. God help the first returner who tries to break one on a kick off. They may be eating through a straw after the kicker gets to them.
Was thinking the exact same thing.
Hope we get to see some video if it happens.

Try looking in the scrimmages thread. :jump:
Well :poop:
THANKS!
Is Highlands scoring 53 on Simon a Moral Victory?
in KY Football (High School)

Nah. I'd say the pioneers should be feeling pretty bad that they were trailing the Birds for most of the 1st half and let them score 53!
