Bishop Brossart 54 Paris 50 (10th Region Class A)
Way too many threes I would definitely agree with. In your face d had nothing to do with it. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Inside game by Kobe Garrard is what got Paris here, stick with that. Kobe Garrard got into foul trouble and guess what, Jekobi Wells actually came to play tonight inside. It was like the greyhounds could not understand that going inside or taking the ball to the rack is the key. Now if they came out on fire, that's a different story but obviously that was not the key and everyone knows that by the end of the first quarter at worst. If I'm on that sideline, "you take one more jumper and your coming to sit with me over here the rest of the game" LOL

Congrats to the Mustangs. Greyhounds fell short tonight but gave a good effort. However, I believe if Coach Henson of Bracken Co coached the greyhounds, they would have won by double digits. Coaching isn't as easy as it seems and IMO lack of adjustments and preparation for the other competitor killed the greyhounds tonight. Refs missed some crazy calls but this one shouldn't been close enough for that to even make a difference. Long season ahead, teaching is the key.

Paris 68 Augusta 63 (10th Region Class A)
I would have to disagree with the comment that the refs were allowing hand checking and Paris to ride them like a horse. If you want to mention that, please mention that every time #4 GARRARD, touched the ball for Paris, he was hacked, pushed and smacked. It's like just because he is bigger and stronger than everyone else, it's supposed to be okay to foul him and get away with it. So the mentioning of fouls is irrelevant IMO. I believe that both teams played really hard and I know that Paris did not play their "A" game. Also not sure about the kid that supposedly left the game at half. Hope all is okay with him, however there were only three players on Augusta that were impacting the hounds. #24, #44 and #13 I believe were the numbers. I'm not trying to take anything away from the kid that left, but I am pretty sure he would not have made a difference. Great game!

Exactly. That's what I was giving on the post, my if ;-)

Augusta vs. Paris Predictions for Jan. 13 (All "A")
If if if...... If August brings their A+ game and Paris brings their A+ game there is no comparison IMO. Paris will beat them by double digits. The Greyhounds are NOT the same team they were years prior. Ashford, Cunningham and Johnson have added lots to this team from over the past years. Just wait for it .

"Home cooking" is part of the game. Nothing to file a complaint about. Everyone who knows sports knows that typically the home team will get the advantage on close calls. And when you have a good player, they typically get more calls than everyone else. It doesn't matter, the Hounds still walked away with a double digit win with the adversity. I honestly was proud to see that they handled it so well. These types of games are what worried me early in the season, now I'm much more comfortable in my fan seat :-)

I thought that Clark done what he was supposed to do with Crawford. Wear him down. Crawford is a legitimate solid basketball player, he is going to get his regardless. It's about how hard you make him work to get his. He has to play the entire game, and when games are close and his motor has been running non stop for four quarters, the rim may start to shrink a tad bit. I felt like he missed some clutch free throws that could have put them within distance of a much closer game after the 2 minute mark. I am anxious to see them play on a neutral court. I don't think it will be this close. And when they come to Paris, that home cooking in the igloo goes out the window.

Augusta vs. Paris Predictions for Jan. 13 (All "A")
LOL! I believe the people who have seen PARIS play throughout the season thus far, know the depth of the team, which everyone else who has only seen one or two games has not. Paris has about five to six players that can/have scored 20+ on any given night. So when one or two are having a bad game, the door swings open and another comes through. Then they have five other solid players that are coming in for their 6-12pts.

Defense wins games. IMO the game plan of let Crawford get his and stop everyone else worked pretty well.

Augusta vs. Paris Predictions for Jan. 13 (All "A")
Only difference from last year is they are more experienced, stronger and seem to have a bit more knowledge of the game. #Growth

Augusta vs. Paris Predictions for Jan. 13 (All "A")
I believe they are saying, with the team that PARIS has this year, the only chance Augusta would have winning the game, is if Bach was back on the team lol

I would have to disagree on this one. The first 3:30 minutes of the game the refs tried to take Paris out of the game. BC was in the bonus in the first quarter. If you were at the game you know exactly what I'm talking about. IMO Paris did what they were supposed to do. It was hard to get a flow offensively when the whistle is blowing consistently. They attacked the zone in the middle, shot lay ups when BC tried to press and hit their free throws consistently. Looked pretty good to me, not to mention when one of your most athletic players "Wells" only played about three minutes the whole first half due to foul trouble.
