Jake Ohmer will certainly be considered - could be a situation where he averages 40ppg and gaudy scoring numbers put him in the middle of the conversation.

NCC playing their best ball when it matters the most - good for them!
A confident team is a VERY dangerous team this time of year!
-
To me the only math that matters at this point is 48-33. NCC is peaking at the right time of the year, and I hope their run continues. They are a true TEAM - know their roles, believe in one another, play great team D, and are making enough shots to win.
-
It's inexcusable that Trinity settled for so many jump shots. At some point the 3 becomes fool's gold and you have to attack the basket. You would think after coming through the 7th Region Trinity wouldn't be intimidated.

Great quarter/run by NCC. Ideally after that type of quarter they would lead by more than 9...

updates?
2pm start time.

Enrollment of 1400. The rest of the schools in the district of a combined enrollment of approximately 1500. You're going to make the district probably every year and if you don't something crazy probably happened. So if you want to make regional tournaments, it's a good job.
Now on the flipside, Coach Smith was 0-5 in the regional tournament. Andy Elkus never made the region in the 3 years he was there. March 13, 2003 was the last time Dixie won a regional tournament game.
There is some talent at Turkeyfoot MS - if those kids go to Dixie the program could really make some noise in the next 3-4 years.
-
Turkeyfoot MS has some talent in the pipeline - Dixie can keep it home the program could really see some success in the next 2-3 years.

CovCath and Cooper will be TOUGH next year - hope they sell advanced tickets
-
CovCath flops a LOT - Duke-ish.

I'm calling it - NCC pulls the upset.
NCC 56
CCH 53
-
Scott only took 11 shots? I'd like to see him take about 20 shots - he is hard to guard and a good free throw shooter. Sounds like his teammates really stepped up. Tough loss for Conner.
-
Great time of year to watch HS basketball - this is a game many thought wouldn't be competitive and instead it was a war. Congrats to Conner for playing their hearts out and to CovCath for grinding out the win!
-
Closer than many would have predicted - sounds like Conner played their hearts out. NCC/HC winner will be extremely tugh - maybe CCH doesn't have the cakewalk to Lexington people anticipated?

about normal
GREAT place to watch a game - women's state tourney will be awesome.
-
GREAT place to watch a game...
-
Ruthsatz clutch today - really stepping up on the big stage.
-
Conner a team of destiny?
-
I've seen 8th grade teams play better zone defense than Duke - which isn't surprising as no kid goes to Duke to play defense.
-
They are fun to watch - Moss is a great player and it's clear she really enjoys playing with her teammates. Owings can really play, too.
-
Grayson Allen goes 80-85 from the foul line, is called for 0 offensive fouls or turnovers, and Duke wins 83-82.
-
Good for Drew! As good as kids in HS are it's sometimes hard to project their game in college. Kids who really commit themselves to S&C make the most progress.
As good as Williams is now, I think his game goes to another level once he starts a D-I diet and S&C program.
-
Highlights I did on him in his last game...put a kid on a poster at 40 second mark.
Man among boys at the HS level - gets whatever he wants, and plays with a chip.
I will be interested to see how his jump shooting game translates to the next level. Very accurate when given space - elevation appears limited.

About as dominant a performance as you will see - who played for the Royals and any background on the competition?
