  1. Michigan has signed committments from Johnson and Peace in the class of 2016. You may be forgetting the junior guard, Hampton-Bey? She's also committed to Michigan, according to ESPN. 2017 High School Girls' Basketball Recruits - Michigan - ESPN
  2. I think Rogers actually has 5 D1 committs: 3 to Michigan, 1 to Cincy and 1 to Toledo. Jason Frakes noted that four of them are 6 feet or taller. Rogers destroyed E'town on the boards and made it very difficult for them to score in the lane. How many times have you seen Boley post up 1/1 and get her shot thrown back?? Yeah, me neither. Don't misunderstand -- Boley played great and was definitely the best player on the floor. My point is that the Rogers kids were big and very athletic.
  3. I stand corrected. Mercy put everything together tonight. Great win.
  4. I don't think Mercy can beat Butler on their home floor. The game that will be interesting is tuesday-- Bullitt east @ mercy.
  5. After watching the Butler girls for years, I can tell you that everybody (except Etown) is going to have a hard time beating them. Especially, those that try to force the tempo. That style just plays into their strength. Everyone knows how athletic they are, but they have a fairly deep bench too. You're not going to wear them down and they don't get too out of control.
  6. If that's the case, you're helping make my point. But, it doesn't matter anyway. Good luck this year
  7. Sure, they all have some of those games. But I don't think most top 10 teams play that many games that have little chance of being competitive. I'm not a coach, but I'd prefer my team play competitive teams night in / night out. That doesn't mean they have to be top 10 -- but I think top 50 would be possible. As I said before... great team that legitimately has a chance to win state. Good luck rest of the season!
  8. I never meant to slight anyone. I think Mason county has a great team. I never said their schedule was "easy". But, I can't call it challenging either. Before the LexCath tourney they only played one team (Ryle) that will ever be seriously discussed here. The remaining teams you list are good but they also have NINE games against teams outside of the top 50. Just my opinion
  9. These rankings are really sensitive to strength of schedule. IMO... MASON COUNTY is better than 13th but their schedule was very weak until the LexCath tourney. And.... it isn't exactly strong the rest of the way. I don't think they're going to have a problem getting out of the 10th region but we'll see if the scheduling hurts them. EASTERN is a very talented team and should be top 5 with the wins against Mercy, Sacred Heart and Ryle. The problem is they have some easy W's on their schedule too and this team needs as many tough games as possible. RYLE and MERCY are both really good teams. But I don't think either deserves to be in the top 10. They have just lost too many games at this point.
