  1. But remember they were playing an awful/disaster of a Bracken County team last year.

But remember this same Bracken county team beat that Augusta team by 20 points in the panthers den a week before. So that was a heck of a turn around in that short of a period and did it with two kids having any varsity experience.

  2. No doubt Hinson can coach and knows his x and o's but every great coach needs talent to help them achieve goals. He also knows what buttons to push to motivate players whether it's the superstar of the team or the role players. That what makes a great coach. Knowing how to coach that talent and put them in a role to succeed where ever his coached makes him great.

  3. What I'm saying is: That Augusta team in 2014 was like a car. If you take one part out, no matter how small it loses its value. Bach was engine, the role players were other parts. Hinson was the driver. If you take out one of the role players the team doesn't run. If you take out the driver you won't go anywhere.

Not true. Took one part away last year in brent Bach team still wins all a classic. Take another part away after the class a "cam Sapp " out for season still go on runner up in District make region again. This year have three seniors back lose another piece "Hinson " and look at the record and who they beat this year. These players are talented smart and always bring the effort.

  4. Bracken county people are really drinking something I mean this team is barely above the .500 mark for the year. Look at the poll results they really believe but that makes it exciting. I understand the excitement because they played mason to the buzzer also played Augusta to the buzzer this season. It's been a long time since they have felt this way in Bracken county. If Crawford wants to write stories and hang banners this is the time . It looks as if the fans believe but do the players . Now is the time to earn the talk of superstar. Going to be exciting.

  5. The key to Bracken winning against Mason is not the coach . It's up to the kids first they must believe in themselves and each other. Next show up with heart the effort and no quit attitude. If they are relying on Crawford to score 40 plus they will not win. Will take all of them. To compare them to the Augusta teams that beat mason county is not fair . They had one of the best players in tenth region had seen in a long time that had a motor that wouldn't stop and the will to win . Just didn't have role players around him had three amazing kids around him that never feared mason county always brought the effort and refuse to quit . Matter of fact these three kids have went on to accomplish so much for themselves and Augusta. Those boys may just might have one great story left in them and there isn't a coach in the region that wants to see their team up against them because what they are capable of doing. Hoosiers 2 in the making.

  6. Augusta / St pat I'll take Augusta by 15 unless they get in foul trouble. Mason /Bracken I'll take Bracken by three this may also come down to pig or Crawford not getting into foul trouble. I believe the home court of the igloo may play advantage Bracken. For the championship night I'll take the senior lead Augusta team by 6 with a fatigue Bracken team becoming gasped by 4th quarter.

  7. Over and Back

When a team has possession of the ball in the frontcourt it may not move the ball across the half-court line into the backcourt. A violation of this rule -- commonly known as the over-and-back rule -- turns the ball over to the opposing team. A violation does not occur if the ball is knocked into the backcourt by the defensive team and recovered by the offensive squad. Likewise, if a rebound is tapped back across midcourt and the previous offensive team gains possession, it’s not a violation because the rebound is considered a loose ball, and not in possession of either team. But if a dribbler in the frontcourt loses possession of the ball on his own and it crosses into the backcourt without being touched by the defense, the offensive team still technically has possession and cannot be the first team to touch the ball in the backcourt

  8. I know that rule it's about position. Once ball is knocked from his possession by a defensive player it doesn't matter who it touches last before going in to backcourt they may recover it. Team control is totally different it's what needed for timeouts or if our team would have thrown it to another teammate backcourt it would have been over and back because of team control.
