Im thinking that SK will probably take this one. Conner has a big running back though(Jackson) If they can control the line and chew up the clock they could make a game of it. A couple of seasons not beating teams by 50 and loosing to teams that the guys that came before you beat shows two things. One. Your program is experiencing a "down" year or two. Two. The teams around you are finally starting to catch up in talent. Both of which could change at any time. I love when you read people saying that their team winning signifies a total collapse of highlands program. Really how much faith do you have in your team. I read that as "we aren't that good and still won, highlands must be terrible". A last second field goal is not going to change anything. 10 years from now people will see that CC beat highlands twice in 25 years (can you hear the air coming out of the sail?). Give me a break. You would think the Super Bowl was last night.

I would agree that the birds got beat by a better team....they beat themselves Friday night. If the disciplined team that played Cooper would have showed up, GAME OVER!

It may be with a bigger school that little Johnny might not get as much playing time because of other kids who are a little better but it opens up the possibility of platooning more players, bringing in better players to start with, and increased competition among the players themselves just for spots. How many players are being recruited from Trinity this year and how many from Ludlow. No offense to Ludlow I'm sure their program is in great shaper but I needed a small school to make a point

Leave it to the state to put a limit on something that no one can accurately predict. Spend 40 million on a building that will hold 1200 student when another 5 million will allow you to hold another 300 kids. Nope we will spend another 40 million.

Penny pinches won't allow schools to be built big enough to house that many students. I guess they think it is cheaper to build 8 different buildings 6 miles apart?

I'm not saying the game last night qualifies. Questionable calls, some stupid penalties cost highlands that game. Three drives stalled out inside the 15 because of penalties. Birds should have won by three scores. Learn from it and focus on next week

If a team shows up, executes the game plan, limits mistakes and still comes up short in the end yes they lost the game but you have to keep in mind that there is a team out there that are going to beat you no matter what you do. Sometimes all you can do is have fun and play hard. Not sure why this is a difficult concept to grasp

In my humble opinion, if the game is fun to watch, the players are having fun and they are giving their best then leave it alone. The wins will come, so will a few losses along the way. To me it's simple...did they play hard, did everyone stay safe and have fun? If so it's a win. Remember it is still high school ball.

I'd say the coaches job is secure. Last thing anyone wants to do after a big change is make another this soon.

I can go back to check last years record and this years so far but I'm sure I'll find it to say they have beat Nky teams, just not all of them. As for winning state, even this year highlands has an uphill battle but are still contenders. How's CC looking the rest of the year?

Even Michigan and Ohio state look at that one game as making a season. What else does CC have to look forward to except running into Ryle or Simon?

Not calling for a new coach, but who wouldn't want to see a hometown guy go back to a program that he was a part of. Don't read too much into it. One decent win (I still think official assisted) doesn't make you ready to knock off coach W.

I'd love to see coach Lickert come back home. That way when he drives past my house I won't have to look around to see who is watching before I say hello ! (Joking)

The birds finally managed to drop a game to all the 6 A schools in northern Ky. Only took two years for the 4 A school to do so.
