I have to say that home/away is a major factor on weekdays directly after school and when teams fix their weekend schedules for the home teams getting maximum rest (see Purples Classic schedule for Bowling Green for instance). Much of these rankings are still based on how the season finished last year, that's a major flaw...of course, having a coach's poll would be even worse since coach's don't see any games beyond the one's they are in, it would just be guessing who is good or who their buddy is coaching. I don't see how Tates Creek is still in the top 20 and teams like Madison Central, Mercer, etc. get little respect. Ballard looks like a quality team with the eyeball test and gave Bowling Green all they wanted. Lafayette lost to Montgomery County because the Purples Classic schedule gave them an 90 minutes between matches while MoCo were playing their first match...believe me none of this is rocket science and with 1 point wins all over the place the rankings are a crap shoot.
