  1. Another know it all I see. What was the halftime score? What was the deficit at the time of the "T"? Never mind, don't bother. So you don't think Ben Weyer would have had a major impact in that game if he was playing for Highlands rather than for NCC? Glad to see your buddy chime in with a "like" because the soccer boys stick together now don't they?

If being down 10 is not in the game then maybe you should stick to watching that soccer ball more.

I don't understand why You bring Weyer going to NCC up for a 4th straight year, maybe not you individually, but it's always brought up. The kid chose the Catholic school. Your point about Weyer being on your team instead of NCC's is irrelevant and a sad attempt to compare the two programs... Smh

  2. That's a real leap of faith believing that NCC could beat HC this year at full strength. I've watched 5qtr's with both teams at full strength and HC had the best team and the best all around player...

    E. Anderson played 2 minutes in the first game. So you've seen 10 minutes of both teams at full strength... Assuming Weyer is 100% healthy now. (which he isn't)

  3. As I recall, the Middle School team with Hall / Pangallo, et al was very good (not sure which school?). It seems many were saying they would lead NCC with great results. I know they beat the CCH trio (Mayer/Ruthsatz/Lenihan) a few times (8th grade). Is that class still in tact? (I am not overly familiar with the NCC guys). If so, the idea of a well-balanced team with a lot of experience together, may better serve the program than recent years with more individual type star players.

NewCath had individual stars but did not play like That by any means. They had one of the best team Defenses in the state the last 2 years

  4. Didn't know you could ride the hip of the player running down the court making contact. NCC was allowed a lot more physical contact than Cooper was. I'm not against a little contact but call it fairly at least.

He didn't get out of control, was usually asking for clarification. Did he get heated a few times? Yes but when you see contact not called one way but the other, coaches tend to defend their team. I've seen the coach from St Henry chew into an official longer than what should be allowed and slam his hands into a chair but get no T. I have yet to see Coach Sully get that crazy.

Newcath was in legal guarding position. They were not on Cooper's hips - rather in front of the ball. I thought officials were consistent
