What about Graves County? Paducah Tilghman? Warren Central? Oldham County? Paris? Rowan County? As I said, no way we could continue the 90+% clip in region tournament play - the upsets were coming. We went 16-9 since the last count to put us at 85-16 for boys region tournament play so far. 84.2% for those keeping track at home. We'll update the bracket again after the conclusion of region tourney play.

Butler beating Murray is definitely not a given. Butler would have a 5 scaled rating point edge on Murray if they were to play today. That gives Murray a 35.5% chance of winning at the neutral confines of the BB&T. That is a solid shot indeed. With their one scaled rating point deficit to Manual, they have a 47% chance of winning, darn near a toss up. Their trouble lies in trying to do both, which they have a 16.7% chance of doing. But, you gotta take em one game at a time right?

It is correct that we posted the bracket prediction before yesterday's four remaining region finals games. We have two wrong before the tourney even started! Another bracket busted. The good news for us, is that we can update the post!

Great question, prior to tonight, there have been 76 boys region tourney games, only 7 upsets - remarkably few, but most of the tougher games are still to come. We'll see how it turns out. The girls have completed region tournament play and there have been a few more, 112 games total, and 18 upsets. Typically, there are less upsets on the girls side, so I'm expecting them to start rolling in tonight and tomorrow for the boys.

On my phone and laptop, I can click on the bracket and it will open in another window that can be zoomed in upon if needed. This doesn't work for you?

Big differences between us, Lit and Cantrall for Doss and Mercer. Mercer, we've discussed, ad nauseum, but nobody says much about Doss. Cantrall has them 3. We have them 14 along with the Lit. (Wrt to Mercer, we have them close to Cantrall, but Lit has them very high). Odd and worth studying.

Christian County may well be better than #13, but I don't know how we would know it yet. Here is their resume by rank order of their opponent's quality. They are doing very well, but they haven't played a top 25 yet.

If it was at Ballard they should definitely flip, but if it was at bowling green it's possible they wouldn't. It will depend on how close their scaled ratings were heading into the game, and what they do in their other games this week.

L Was the game at Ballard or Bowling Green?

Yes, we can only count in state games reliably. If I get the chance, I will take a look at Cooper, try to figure out why the numbers have worked out this way.
