Danville or Garrard, maybe both, will make the region tourney this year.

Good bounce back win for the ADs!
-
Final from Woodford.

I know I'm biased but that may be the best "Little" gym in the state. It's only something like 100 years old :lol2:
I dig the Briar Patch! I pity the team that has to deal with that pep section! Those kids bring it!

Southwestern had a full roster tonight from what I was told. Casey has been playing much better as of late. Offensively they are as solid a team in the 12th, defense and depth is what they lack. Personally I think the region is wide open, there are about 8 teams that could beat the other on any given night. No clear cut favorite.

Final from Southwestern.

Clyde trivia:
I used to live in Liberty as a youth. Went to first grade there.
Carry on.
Come on back Clyde! We got a tractor supply now!

Casey currently resting on a 6-13 record. This time last season Casey was sitting on a 7-13 record and finished regional runner up. Deja-vu??

Agreed. I enjoyed watching this game. I am still surprised Boyle County won the game. This Boyle County team just keeps growing right in front of us. To win a game like this when they were clearly out played for a large part of the game is mind boggling to me. I'm going to miss watching Jake Smith play. He is so much fun to watch. Good luck the rest of the season!
Same to y'all! Who knows, stars may align and we'll meet back up in regions! Either way, glad Casey and Boyle finally got a regular season game scheduled!
-
Was a fun game to watch, thought Casey played a pretty good 3 and a half quarters of ball and just couldn't finish. Boyle did a great job at sticking around and making free throws when they needed them most.
-
That's good to hear I like there team if defense picks up they could make some noise by the end of the season.
Yeah, they've just had trouble stringing together 4 quarters of good ball this season. Nothing new for em though, usually catch their stride towards the end of the season, and I'm ok with that.

Casey has some good offensive players.
Defense was better last night 16th, you woulda been proud! Lol
-
Looking forward to Casey County/Boyle County next Tuesday!
Yeah me too, should be a good game!
-
Final from Liberty.
-
Nah, they're 5-10 because they play with the same 5 players the entire game. No bench.
-
Casey has the 2 best players on the floor. Smith and Miller both 1500pt scorers.
-
Pulaski won't win Region. Ticking time bomb.
-
Casey got a win against Tates Creek in the Berea Christmas tourney. They played the tourney without Max Reyes.
-
Final from Liberty.

Was a good game! Casey had a very poor 1st half performance and then turned it up in the 2nd half. Pretty balanced scoring from Smith, Miller, and Reyes. All of em probably had around 20 each. Hayes and Richards put up good efforts also.
SW is a better 'Team' than they were last year. They do a great job at spreading the floor and finding the open man. If they get hot from the 3, it's game over.
-
3 losses coming to 3 top 5 teams in their respected region. 3/5 starters have had 2 weeks of practice also, after the Rebels football run.
-
Final from liberty.

When there are a bunch of good but not great teams, good coaching wins the region. Who are the best coaches in the 12th? Name your top 8
Traditionally I would agree, however, the top 3 teams in the region in terms of player talent (PC, SW, CC), have new coaches. So it kinda remains TBD for now. Obviously you still have your perennials though like Jeff Jackson, Rodney Woods, Damon Kelly.

If it is basketball season, then you can guarantee Lincoln and West will be good. Both will be hard outs come postseason.
Both of em were put out pretty easy last postseason if i remember right. Lost some key players as well.

Thought it was a decent night for the Rebs, had the lead and just let it slip away towards the end. Tonight makes 23 nights that Casey has been without a home game, and I'm starting to see the effect it's having on them. Hoping that this week they can string together 2 home wins against Taylor and Lincoln to close out the regular season.
Danville is a pretty good team, they're athletic and shot the ball exceptionally well in the first half. I expect them to win their district game against Boyle and move into the regional tournament.
