Incredible job by Keith Baisch and his staff for coming up with a great game plan!
Even better job by Mercy players at executing that game plan!

Not buying the Cooke as of now. She is athletic but not a factor other than defense as of now. Has the potential. The others on Rodgers big and semi sound but the girl on E town runs circles around them.
Not putting them down,,,,, they are getting to play in college. Love it. The E town guard could be a major player(10).
I've seen other players that are all around(can't teach stuff with skills).
Better team and college candidates.
Good for them. No digs or complaints. Just saying.
Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland, Georgetown, Minnesota, and Xavier are sold on Cooke and have already offered.

Michigan has signed committments from Johnson and Peace in the class of 2016. You may be forgetting the junior guard, Hampton-Bey? She's also committed to Michigan, according to ESPN.
2017 High School Girls' Basketball Recruits - Michigan - ESPN
Hampton-Bey transferred high schools before the season & is no longer at Rogers. I know what I'm talking about.
-
I think Rogers actually has 5 D1 committs: 3 to Michigan, 1 to Cincy and 1 to Toledo. Jason Frakes noted that four of them are 6 feet or taller.
No.... They have 4. 2 to Michigan, 1 to Cincinnati, 1 to Toledo.
They also have a freshman guard in Cooke that will be at least a Top 50 player nationally.

They could move it to Belfry (furthest part of the state from me) and I would still be there. Won't hurt my attendance.

Etown Etown Etown. Butler the only team with a chance to be competitive with them
Butler wasn't even competitive with them in Lexington. ETown may be better this year than last. Addition by subtraction?
-
Horrific transition defense if they are giving up that many points because she gets the rebound and beats everyone down the floor. I've seen her play once and she wasn't a super athlete that could leap full courts in a single bound.
The teams/players Jenkins plays against can't stop her. I'll leave it at that, everyone can take it how they want.

In general, I believe a POY coronation 10 games into the season is pre-mature. I'd prefer to keep an open mind.
2016 Miss Basketball has been a lock for at least two years now..

Ally Niece.

Unpaid speeding ticket. Cited for going 59 in a 55.
-
1. Erin Boley - ETown
2. Jaelynn Penn - Butler
3. Blair Green - Harlan County
4. Grace Berger - Sacred Heart
5. Seygan Robins - Mercer Co
& I'm going to add a sixth since she looked VERY good when I watched her last week - Ally Niece - Simon Kenton

Are you legally blind?
Only partially blind.
-
I've not seen her play any one good in HS. She is a good player, but I simply do not believe she would put up those numbers against good or even decent HS teams. She didn't put up absurd numbers when I watched her in recent summers.
-
Have you seen her play?
Many many times. Not only in HS but in the summer as well.
-
I like Whitney as a person and as a player, but I'm simply stating she wouldn't put those #s up against good competition.
Don't use the small town team as an excuse for not developing players or attending tournaments.
Look at Clinton County from the early 90s to the early 2000s. Not only were they competitive, they were a top team in the state for much of that run. They developed players and attended good tournaments.
-
Which team is your team? What do you consider a good team? That game had 2 division 1 players playing against each other. Igo will play big D1 basketball.
I don't have a "team." Igo is very good, but Igo is an 8th grader, Creech is a senior. Outside of Igo that team isn't good at all. Igo will sign much higher than Creech.
I'd like to see Creech play any of the Louisville teams, or even 4th or 5th region with athletes. She won't go for 60.
-
Let me know when she plays a good team.
-
What makes her better? Havent got to see Erin play, but was very impressed with the way Creech played. Not saying your wrong, just would like to know what kind of game Boley has (outside shooter? post player? etc.).
Uhhhh Boley is 6'2 with a much better outside shot than Creech. Bigger, stronger, more athletic. Heck, she's going to Notre Dame. Boley is a McDonald's All-American..
I'm one of few in the state that has actually seen both of them play many many times. It's no comparison. Boley would've broke the state record her junior year or sooner if she played at Jenkins & played the competition they play.
-
No. Creech should not win Miss Basketball. Erin Boley is the best player in the state by far. Not even a discussion IMO.
-
Scott County looked good. Smith is a player.
-
Boley had 31 pts 7 reb.. Unstoppable.
-
Murray by 4.
Waldrop is the difference inside. This matchup could go either way, but there is my prediction.
-
EyesOnCourt,
Lex Cath won't beat East Carter.
Mason County will have trouble beating Murray.

Holy Cross wins 41-35
Murray 72 Madisonville North Hopkins 45

I think Madisonville's record was, and still is a bit deceitful. They've played a bunch of awful teams. They've only played 4 decent teams in Graves Co, South Warren, Henderson Co & Murray and lost all 4.
