I have said for 4 years that the better kids will not even play high school ball. They will use that time of year to rest and train.
-
I am not saying kOB is not relevant. It is. Just not to these kids. Training is
-
Why u think somebody Is giving this kid bad advice? High school basketball including the KOB is irrelevant. These studs use high school as a training session. Not a recruiting tool. Get real.
-
Does anybody on here honestly think nobody else is coming?
-
8th grade has nothing to do with khsaa. Next month don't either
-
I agree with most u post until u start talking about Adair co and Zion getting doubled.
-
man this has got huge. Imagine the story next month. This message is to all Bluegrass Prep members, high school coaches, athletic directors, high schools and fans. The King of the Bluegrass has NEVER and will NEVER take a team OUT of our tournament because a player leaves a school. We invite TEAMS, COACHES and FAN to our tournament. NO 9TH GRADER is bigger than our tournament. Since AAU basketball has arrived as it is today we face these issues every year. Players come and go, good coaches and good PROGRAM come to the KOB.Why is everyone surprised? Tyger Campbell was the #1 eighth grade three years ago and played for Christ Presbyterian from Nashville. They played in the KOB. At the end of the year he ended up at a prep school in Indiana. I wonder what they gave him? Several years ago, if you recall, there was a highly ranked eighth grader at South Warren (they had a contract to play in the KOB) he also left and went...who know where.
Now, South Warren did not play in the KOB. THEY requested we let them out of the KOB contract and we honored their request. That's the ONLY way we will, upon mutual agreement, take a team out of our tournament.
Once again somebody is giving this young man bad advice. They are taking him away from a school that showcased him to the fullest...I call this USING the school that has GREAT talent around him to make himself look great. WHERE IS THE LOYALTY?
My prediction is this. If they don't surround him with very good talent his game will suffer. He had better have a great big man that must be double teamed if his game is to flourish. (Hopefully Wiseman from Nashville Ensworth doesn't follow him to Adair County). Unless a bus load of kids transfer to Adair County he will be double teamed and physically challenged ever night.
Many of you know that I worked for Hubie Brown for several years. He once told me, "Anytime you promise a kid something, wheather it be high school or college...HE OWNS YOU". The ONLY thing I ever promised a kid was that I was going to be on him about his character and his grades. No PLAYER is going to hold me hostage.
To all BOWLING GREEN coaches, players and fans, NO PLAYER IS BIGGER than the TEAM and we are excited to have you in the Gardner Law King of the Bluegrass.
One, if not the biggest tournaments in the country, takes teams out of thier tournament if a big time player leaves...we DON'T do that.
Just so you know, two years ago 44 of the top 100 kids in the high school rankings were NOT in the same school their senior year as their junior year.

The Harmon's know that Zion will get tons of skill work at Adair. Coach Breeze is a skill training guy. Zion is familiar with what he does. It has nothing to do with where Adair is located on a map besides being fairly close to Druthers.
-
Adair will have a big.
-
He said it was just 18 miles from Adair to Druthers. lol
-
-
He actually enrolled on his way to peach jam. The final decision come down to the close proximity to the only Druthers restaurant left in the world. Sealed it
-
Get to laughing.Harmon will either be at BG next year or another school out of state. Period. Laughable to suggest he would leave a program of Bowling Green's caliber for Adair County or beeeze for that matter. -
Word is Coach Breeze was seen on main street in Columbia doing cartwheels and chanting WACG!!!! I don't know how true the cartwheel part is.

I am hearing Trinity is his next stop.
-
Lee and walker are top two candidates from what I am hearing. With Lee as the front runner.
-
How helpful is dead period if most all the kids are at camp. lol

This tourny has been huge over the years. The 6-7 years I have followed it it's always had 40-60 teams. This year just 14 and a couple of those forfeited games. Mercer got beat by 50 so I assume they didn't have everyone. Why has this tourny become so unimportant?
-
I guarantee Nelson co never called south laurel and ask about TLT. Dude knows basketball. Serious issues other places.
-
I believe Mercer loses one from their top 6.How many players does Mercer County have coming back? -
Nelson co is definitely in for a ride.
-
Any body got stats. I heard Hollingsworth was o for the first half. Who kept them in the game
-
Would 16 games in 7 days be to much?
