WKYT's Brian Milam just tweeted this:
"Pulaski County football coach John Hines says @Damien_D1Harris will play Friday night!"

Damien Harris has just had his playing chances called "doubtful" for Friday's game.

Do the selected kids and their parents foot the travelling costs or are they paid for by the organising committee?

2-2 now, according to Fields.

Interesting, your score came through a full 35 minutes before Mike Fields tweeted it.

Is Dave Miller the Ashland coach who protested the home run?
According to the Ashland Daily Independent, yes he is. If you get chance, have a read of their article. It's quite the eye-opener.

According to the PA last night: $8 if purchased within 30 minutes of the end of the semi final, $10 after that!

Okay guys, help me out. Who are the highest rated current juniors in the Bluegrass area? I'm looking for players from the following counties: Fayette, Clark, Bourbon, Scott, Jessamine, Madison, Woodford & Franklin.
Cheers.

After watching Campbell County at Henry Clay on Saturday they will have to up their game if they are hoping to get anywhere near a top seed for their district. I know the weather conditions were not great but none of their three errors could be blamed on the conditions, glass backs maybe, but not the conditions.
Granted this was just one game and they may well be better than that game indicated but it was pretty weak fielding for this time of year.

Apparently at least five games survived yesterday's weather:
Paul Laurence Dunbar 5 East Jessamine 1
Montgomery County 8 Green County 0
Bryan Station 13 Green County 1
East Jessamine 10 Ballard 2
Henry Clay 5 Campbell County 3

I'd say the whole tournament was canceled for Saturday.
Not quite ... Henry Clay defeated Campbell County 5-3. Surprisingly Boyd County hung around for about five hours while the lightning delay elongated the first game then jumped on the bus and headed home immediately as it ended. They could easily have got their game in if they had stayed. It was only about 5.15pm too.

One game survived at Henry Clay.

If Danville starts their lefty, Nick Serey, in the final it could be a cracking game. He pitched a great game yesterday against Bethlehem. Not sure of how the pitching rules work though and if he'll be available!

Saw their bus parked up at Parkette Diner as I was on my home from the Bethlehem/Danville game. Maybe that's their secret ... pre-game Po' Boys all 'round!

Thought I'd clicked on the football thread for a second!

Where is Sayre's home field?

Actually it was Downs that came in to finish the 4th inning not Clarkson
Bellew 3.1 innings 49 piches.
Downs 0.2 innings and 6 pitches.
Brennan 2.0 innings and 35 pitches and
Ryle needs to update their schedule/roster page via KHSAA then. The pitcher was #7 which is Clarkson on that page.

The official attendance for the final was 14,165. Let's be honest, that's a phenomenal turnout for a Sunday afternoon with Kentucky playing in the NCAA tournament at essentially the same time.
I do agree that the switch to Sunday won't be around long despite the fact that the last two finals have produced dramatic games.

Reports are all over the place on Harris. Today he's been seen walking very tenderly with both a knee brace and a crutch. Whether he plays or not is anybody's guess at this juncture.
