I would add Wilson Kelly Dtackle from Boyle 115 Tackles and 25 for loss last year from nose. I agree with Octavius also. Those two are the two best Dtackles in KY and I'm a Belfry fan. LOL

Wilson Kelly is an absolute stud, he’s the strongest player to ever play for Boyle in the weight room and it shows on Friday nights.

Jeff Duggins first and foremost, a lot of people tend to forget Jeff was an all state linebacker as well as the best high school QB that I’ve Seen play the game, Matt Quinn, no one wanted the ball anymore than Matt when the game was on the line he was a dominate all state RB and LB, Bobby Leffew, Bobby could dominate a game from both sides of the ball he was an absolute Monster in high school, and I have to add Jacob Tamme he was phenomenal on both sides of the ball. Reese Smith definitely belongs in this conversation.

Wonder how close Brandon Smith or Jeff Duggins were?

Not sure about rushing TD’s but I believe Duggins had 112 passing TD’s in his 3 year varsity career at Boyle County.

If you were to check out both players career stats and state titles it’s not even close Duggins wins easily, Bolin didn’t even win a state title plus Duggins stats are way more impressive.

I know that many put Jeff Duggins for Boyle at QB here. I think he's the biggest gamer out there but it's hard to see him above Kyle Bolin from Lex Cath.

Jeff Duggins QB Boyle county 45-0 3 state championships, not to mention Mr Football. Bobby Leffew, Travis Leffew, Brody Overstreet, Lamar Dawson, Jacob Tamme.

Time will tell about who’s right and who’s wrong but if you think Highlands is back to where they were when Dale was there I think you’re dreaming.

I wanted of course to have Boyle 1st but a reigning champ deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Just because they’re are the reigning champs doesn’t mean they should be ranked #1 They lost way to much to graduation to say they are the best team in 4A going into the season, I base my rankings off of what a team is returning and how much potential they have going into the season not what they done last season.

Using that logic where should Johnson Central be ranked?

Because I think Boyle will beat Highlands doesn’t mean that Boyle will overlook them, surely you’re not looking for bulletin board material this time of year.

15-0 is an awfully tall order to begin with, much less with Highlands on your schedule. I don't know what Danville is looking like for 2019, but I have to think between Danville, CAL, Highlands, Lex Cath, and Anderson County, Boyle is bound to have at least 1 loss going into the playoffs. The most likely loss would be to Highlands.

I think Highlands will be the 3rd best team Boyle will play this year, the Birds are no where near the team they were when Dale left I believe Covington Catholic put that into perspective the second time they played Highlands last season, if Boyle takes a loss I expect it to be CAL definitely not Highlands.

Flip 1-2 and the rest looks good, although I’m not sure I wouldn’t have Boyle 1 and Anderson 2.

I’m happy for the young man, I really believe he picked the best place for him to succeed.

That's a bruiser of a schedule. I can easily see several potential losses there. At least they'll be battle tested when the playoffs come calling.

Possibly 6 losses but you’re right they’ll be battle tested.

I've heard rumors about some shake-ups on Coach Haddix's coaching staff this season. A coach or two heading to Pineville to join Randy Frazier, another coach accepting an administrative job with the school district. How are things looking for the Redhounds?

I’m pretty sure those rumors are true.

I believe it is or so I’m told.

This schedule should payoff come November.
