I never thread jacked this thread. I was talking about the problems CovCath is having at qb.
CCH will strap'em up and get after it. No excuses have been made. None ever will.
These "problems" are all being presented by those outside the Colonel team / family.
Good luck at Johnson Central tonight. Looking forward to a lot of fireworks on the field and very few in the air.
Go Colonels.

Happy for you John. Congrats and good luck.

Man, I glad I live on a hill over here in Kenton Cty because it is flowing heavy and deep tonight!
Hey wait a minute. I thought you lived on the bottom of two hills?

Both teams entering this game with something to prove. JC that they are legit, even though they lead 4A in scoring.
The Colonels that they are the same team that beat 6A Dixie Heights.
This no doubt will be a high scoring game.
I expect the Colonels to play hard, physical and fast.
With that said, I predict a Colonel victory.
Go Colonels - One Week at a time.

Weeds. In Ft. Thomas? Say it ain't so.

I have not read the other posts, so I apologize if I repeat parts or all from above.
1. Kids that want to play another game, but are on a bad team get one last game.
2. Kids that don't want to play another game, but are on a bad team get one last chance for cheap shot on an opponent and end their season too.
I don't really think #1 justifies #2.
Just my honest opinion.

I know the team is eager to get after it with their full squad. Good luck and Go Colonels.

Lets Go Colonels. It is a one week season now. Play together. Play with Pride.
Go Colonels!!!

Good Luck to Boone County, Dixie Heights, Campbell County, Simon Kenton and Ryle. In one way or another, I have a connection with each of these teams. Hope one of you can bring a 6A State Championship to Northern Kentucky.
Again good luck.

I predict this pole will look very different in three or four weeks.

Alumni. Do the players that were part of your program but left or transferred before graduation count?
-
Go Colonels. Last chance to put it on the line for the Frosh. Good luck tonight.
-
Going with the Colonels in this one. It was nice to see Wagner back at the helm last week. He looked sharp.
Go Colonels.

This CovCath team can come back. They are not playing the same as they did early in the season. A lot of reasons for this. The good news of the colonels is they will keep working to get back on track. Will they be able to. That is a question each and every one of them has to answer for themselves.
In the game, the team made some good plays, made some bad plays and had some bad penalties.
These guys need to get healthy (And all indications are they will), commit to playing for each other.
Everyone needs to ignore all of the negative comments coming form those outside of the program or having an agenda which is not in line with the teams goals.
Come together and move forward as a TEAM.
Go Colonels.

The better team when they played.
Dixie -vs- Beachwood - Dixie.
Beachwood -vs- CovCath - Beechwood
CovCath -vs- Dixie - CovCath.
Beechwood earned the win Saturday. They deserved the win and CovCath deserved the loss. However, CovCath will rebound and we will see again this season, the true version of the Colonels. Based on what I saw when I watched two of the three games, CovCath is the better team of the three. Sometimes it is just not your day. Saturday was not CovCath's day.

The Covington Catholic TEAM cost themselves the chance to beat Beechwood. The officiating did nothing to help the Colonels cause, but by no means are the reason for the loss.
Congratulations to the Tigers on the victory. Hope it is the cornerstone to your 2014 State Championship run.
Time for the Colonels to regroup and get back to being the team that showed up the first four weeks of the season. And yes, I am including the Moeller game.
Go Colonels.

Yes, tough to pick CCH over the birds because of the long run recently, but it has to end sometime and the time is now.
This year, CCH is much faster at every position than they have been in recent history.
I expect an exciting game, and I am going to pick the Colonels.
-
All of it. Especially on Saturdays!!!!!
-
True D1 are born that way, but........ They do have to sharpen the steel!
-
Don't have a clue who should win, but I will be rooting for the Tigers. Good luck BeechieTech

If the rules say the retired official does not have to pay, then honor the rule and let them in. If not, than there is nothing to discuss.
-
Nice win for the JV Colonels. Listened to it on the radio. Sounds like a complete game. Good Job!

I've said this before. All parents need to support the program. Starting with the coach. You can't sugarcoat anything. If the team played poorly, don't say its OK, you were really not supposed to win. That only builds acceptance for mediocrity.
Support what your coach is trying to build. Encourage your kid to work harder, become more athletic.
Negative comments toward the coach at home will destroy the TEAM on the field.
