Its crazy how much Hamilton's speed can affect a game.
He's one of those players in baseball where no matter what I'm doing if I see he is up to bat or on base I will stop and watch just to see what happens.
-
Obviously a George Grande fan.
Raco, Rocco, Mes, whatever you want to call him, the dude is raking the ball and I love it.
-
Smart decision. I think all of the Cats have made the right decision so far.
It's refreshing to see as a fan of the game.
Agreed. I'm also hearing people around the program expect Dakari to announce he is returning today or tomorrow too, would be huge (no pun intended) news as well and also the best decision for him.

Hamilton 8
Votto 3
Phillips 4
Bruce 9
Frazier 5
Bernadina 7
Mesoraco 2
Santiago 6
Simon RHP
Most people are certainly not going to like Raco behind Bernadina...

I'd be surprised if it's shortly.
Me too.

I prefaced that with an "If true" the first time. I thought I had the 2nd time as well.
Didn't see your first comment, my bad.

I don't buy that report for a second....
Me either.
-
Good problem to have though.
Absolutely. Simon has been unreal so it'd really be something if he keeps it up close to this level. Regardless, I will feel comfortable with Simon in the game no matter the situation.
-
Once again, sad and pathetic. What a great dad.
Best to hold off ripping pops before we know what is going on for sure... Let's hope this isn't the case.
-
Can Simon do it again tonight? Guy has been unreal with a 0.86 ERA thus far.
What happens when Latos comes back shortly (fingers crossed) if Simon is still pitching close to that level? It was assumed he'd be the guy automatically moved for Latos...

Tonight is the night Volquez comes back to earth.
I can never think of Volquez without thinking of Josh Hamiton... and that just hurts

Cueto has pitched awesome with Pena as his battery mate, and he certainly hasn't been an easy out at the plate either. I like the current setup.
I like it too. Wish we had the DH so Raco could stay in the lineup on days like this. But, it's best for the short term and long term, and if Cueto prefers Pena and works best with him, then even more reason to keep it the same.

Congratulations & best wishes to a great young man.
Are you talking about Julius or spindoc for opening that can of worms?

I've listened to the sports talk radio in Louisville since we moved. They discuss UK every single day. Each and every single day. I'm not sure who's more obsessed. BBN or Cards obsession with BBN.You know you just guaranteed that this will be a 10+ page thread.

Agree on Green and Burfict. Atkins.
I realize he isn't a player and maybe that is what everyone is looking for but I believe Marvin Lewis is the face of the franchise.
And isn't this one of the biggest problems for the Bengals? His record is as average as it can get after all these years... not like it's Belichick or someone like that.

Has Cleveland had a QB that you'd take for your team? Last I remember was Brian Sipe and that was a LONG time ago. Just go to show how important having the 'right' QB can be to the success of a franchise.
We’ve (the Browns) spent years over a decade not reaching for a QB to take top tier talent and where has that gotten us? 5 freaking wins every year basically. I’m done with the risk averse approach to drafting.

Sunday nights at 9pm.
Awesome, thanks :thumb:

I think we also have to mention the terrible at bat Cozart had late in the game. I like Cozart as an 8 hitter and defender, but they were trying to walk him last night and he swung at a 2-0 garbage pitch on his hands and popped up with two guys on base. Where is his baseball IQ??
That seems to be lacking a lot thus far this year....

You gotta think Meso moves in the lineup today, don't you?
Didn't Price say something like "I like having good hitters throughout the lineup" because if so it sounds like he might be stuck there again. I actually like how Price has handled the lineup thus far, but I think it's getting a little "too cute" keeping the hottest hitter in baseball that far down the lineup.

I thought that this week's episode was very good again. It's a shame more people aren't watching this. I don't know any of my friends who are.
What night and time is this on?
-
I think he's still going to be a main character. There are only 10 episodes listed so he's showing in half of them. In some shows that have a full 22 episode run they aren't always accurate until halfway through the season because they're still filming when the season begins. However, in series that have a short run like this one they're usually spot on because the whole season is generally filmed before the first episode airs. The first episode introduced several characters so I'd say not many of them will appear in all 10 episodes. I don't like to see spoilers but I was trying to figure out where I'd seen a few of the actors and noticed the number of episodes each were listed in.
Got ya on that end, that makes sense. I was wondering why you did that but I have to admit I saw some of the actors and thought they looked familiar and almost did the same thing. A couple times I've gone to look up characters in shows and google all of a sudden showed something that I didn't know happened yet :irked: so I've tried to avoid that at all costs.
On a related note to the thread, how the heck is Lester going to get out of the situation he finds himself in?
-
What is it he does? I've never heard that. I remember the Westbrook incident at the end of the year last year, but there's gotta be more than that, right?
Just youtube Patrick Beverley and watch how he plays, other players call him the pest. Dude is all out and I personally love it.
-
IMDB only has him listed as being in 5 episodes. It might not be the first half of the season, he might just not be in every episode.
Anyone else get the feeling that Billy Bob's character might not have just been trying to help Lester out by doing in his bully? With all the shady characters at the trucking company and the rumor that he helped gun runners move their product I wonder if Billy Bob works for the competition and decided to take the opportunity to take out some of the competition while pinning it on someone else?
I never check IMDB for things like that because I don't want to know who is in the episodes before it happens. With that said, are they always accurate when it comes to that? I truly don't know. Also, I thought Billy Bob was going to be a main character type for this show that's why I am surprised. He was great in that first episode.

Aaron Harrison says it is all about their futures......ring or championship not that much of a factor. Speaks volumes about them. They should leave.
I mean I wouldn't exactly penalize a kid for saying that it is a personal decision.... they've been working all their lives towards this dream/career......

Not to mention guys like Lee, Hawkins, and Willis have all off season to improve their games as well. No matter what I am going to be so pumped up about next years team, but if the twins come back then we will have final four experience from our guards and the same point guard two years in a row with Cal which hasn't happened since he came.
