This one's pretty obscure, but was one of the best I've seen at any level. St. Pat vs Augusta December 2011.Wasn't an empty seat in the building. Game went to 3 overtimes. The entirety of both teams main rotation fouled out with the exception of Taylor Slack and Ryan Gallenstein for the Saints and Colton Fraysure for A-Town. Slack hit a runner with 18 seconds left to put St. Pat up 86-85. On the next two plays St Pat's JV shooting guard got a HUGE steal and their JV Center clean blocked Tanner Kelsch's shot at the buzzer. Gallenstein, Slack, and Fraysure combined for 78. Had fans and players from almost every school in the area there and all said it was the best game they had ever seen. One of those nights that makes you thankful for Kentucky Highschool Basketball

Great stuff.:thumb:
Mike Case left us way too soon. As did Pat Moore.
That last St. Pat pic with Murph and Jeff Stahl gets to me as well.

Awesome pics. One thing I noticed is the St Pat saints at the all a state tourney. I think it was 97. Only reason I noticed that is my beloved polar bears went to all a state in 98.
We were both wrong, that pic is from '99. You were right about '98 though, St. Pat expected to go and got upset by the bears in the Region. Good catch!

I'd put Vince Taylor on this list over a couple of these guys.
That's why I specified that it was off the top of my head. Honestly the first 3 guards and 2 bigs to come to mind. I'm sure there are many that can fill it out better than I can.
-
Dirk Minniefield would be on any list regading the 11th region. One the greatest High School guards ever from the state of Kentucky.

From what I understand, the 1977 finals between Maysville and Fleming County was pretty fun until about 10 seconds after it ended.

I'm gonna try a 10th but won't get it right so please feel free to add to or take away.
Chris Lofton
Brent Bach
Chris Harrison
Alvin Simms
Darren Feldhause
That's just scratching the surface of all the greats that have played in the 10th like I said I've probally overlooked some one that's more deserving and I applogize in advance.
You'll always leave someone out no matter how hard you try. My 10th Region would be
Chris Lofton
Preston Knowels
Pat Moore
Darius Miller
Josh Graham

Sounds like a nice little tourney in the patty dome. I'm assuming saints we're in the final?
If the bigger schools would get involved, a catholic schools tournament in Northern KY would be highly interesting

The Saints played two games on Saturday. Coach Taylor sat his seniors for the first game against Latin. Junior guard Jakkar Frey and freshman forward Ben Swolsky led the way in that game with 17 and 15 respectively. In the second game against Villa Madonna a fresh Sticklen put up 27 points and 17 boards as St. Pat went on to win 81-48. Sophomore guard Chase Burton also chipped in 13. Sitcklen has recorded a double-double every time he has touched the floor so far. He is currently averaging 26 points and 13 rebounds per game.
