  1. Keep in mind, this is voted on by the coaches across the state. They make these determinations based on film they see and games they see certain players. IF a kid doesn't stand out in those few instances, then they usually don't garner a vote. Coaches also swap players for votes to get their kids on the list. Also keep in mind, most of you are like the coaches, you don't see many games outside your region of the state. Fans have bias...so do coaches. I know of several kids that are on the list because of their dad's being coaches...nothing wrong with it in my book. It is what it is. Congrats to all the kids that made the teams! This will mean something to those kids. It usually doesn't correlate to college recruiting, colleges don't concern themselves with stats either. Height, weight, 40, look test, and camp performances are what get your scholarship solidified, not newspaper clips. LOL

I Agree with Dark Horse...Congrats to all the players, what an accomplishment for these young men. Politics, favoritism and horse trading will always be part of the story line. If a player didn’t get selected don’t get all tore up..College recruiters don't put much stock in these lists. They look for players that fit their system and have the measurable to play on Saturday.

  2. We can do Meade County

    Meade County= Missouri

The little engine that could in big boy football. Frequently overmatched with talent, not the household name of the other elite powers they must compete with, and geographically in an area where the media attention is minimized. With that said, they just find ways to win big games and factor into the Championship picture, just haven't won the ultimate prize. More prone to rebuilding years than some of their counter parts, when they are good though they are very good. A solid program from top down that often flies under the radar.

    Thanks...

  3. There are a total of 749 college football programs in the Nation. Below is how Ky programs ranked nationally (Dolphin Ratings). There are other power indexes that differ a little.

    Western Ky-Ranking-38..D1-FBS

  4. "Yes, they have similar (skill position) athletes. If you knew North and Male like I knew North and Male then you'd agree...clearly you don't. But athletes don't make a team, it's a lot more than to it than just the skill guys....we all know that. Without a sufficient line, athletes become obsolete."

We have played both and I can tell u there are night and day as far as athletes

  5. To be honest..CH this year is not as good as last year's team and that team got throttled by Meade in the Regional game last year. The problem is CH really hasn't played anyone in the playoffs that could prepare them for what they will see this friday night. Meade played just about as hard of a schedule in the playoffs last year (Henry Clay..Scott Co..CH..Trinity) as you probably can play and Meade still wasn't ready for what Trinity brought. That's not a bust on Meade or CH (The coaches do an outstanding job with the talent they have). Trinity and Male play in the toughest 6A district, face the best competition week to week and in Trinity’s case outside the state. That prepares them for the playoffs. That’s not saying it can’t be done..because Meade has done it. Just like Trinity last year, Male is just on a whole different level athletically this year. Good Luck CH !!! Nate keep posting those stats !!!

  6. Hardin County Preps..Obviously u didn't review the schedules that close. If I remember CH lost 42-6 at Bowling Green. First, I wouldn't call that a competitive game..second they lost 24-3 to South Warren again not very competitive. Name one quality win for CH? Male has beaten Trinity (Twice)..St. X..Manual (Twice) and PRP. its one thing to play a team on your schedule its a whole different story beating those teams or even being competitive.

  7. Really every game is a big rivalry. Hey it might be a big rivalry on central side. That's thier choice if they think Meade is a big rivalry. I'm just telling u that to Meade it really isn't a rivalry...winning two games in 14 years isn't a rivalry. John Hardin and for that point Horth Hardin are bigger rivals to Meade. We will see if central can become a sustained powerhouse in the district. My guess is no...

  8. This is not much of a rivalry. Meade has only lost twice in the past 14 years. Last year's regular season game was only won by 1 point in which Meade was missing some keys pieces. We see what happened in the championship game when those pieces were healthy. Rivalries take years to develop..On paper Central should win..but they shouldn't take Meade lightly even in a rebuilding year. Good luck to both teams Friday!!!

  9. Think long and hard before taking any kind of walk-on spot. I would ask the coach how many walkon or PWO schollies has the program given out in the last few years. There is no extra benefits to being a PWO vs a WO...except u probably will go to camp..for D1 that's only 105 players. Do your research and be realistic better to go to a lower division and play and get $$ then being a D1 walk-on and not playing.

  10. This will NEVER happen. As I said before, who runs and manages it?? How do you get the other schools to pull out of their state affiliation, and really why should they?? There is no precedent for this, and to my knowledge multi state athletic conference doesn't exist. Sure some state have separated publics and privates, but those states have many more school.

Other states have worked it out. The private schools are smart they would figure it out. Maybe it wont happen, but its a viable solution. All you raise is road blocks as your objection.
