Purples score on another touchdown pass by Bucannon. Male takes the kickoff to the house, but misses the extra point. 28-6 Purples with 4 minutes left in 3rd quarter.

Johnson Central is loaded again this year. I don't think anyone in 4A comes close to beating them.
-
I think the Colonels have 20 seniors on this year's team. This should be one of their best teams in a few years.
-
I live in Bowling Green and hate to see it go, but I didn't like the three days of games. Losing the Russell sponsorship was the nail in the coffin. It doesn't matter, I would go watch it if it was played in Whitesburg.
-
Coach Stansbury was there to watch his son play and got a look at "The Jake". The rest is history.
-
I'm a die hard Purple fan, but I haven't forgotten how dominant Warren Central was for years. In my opinion, Tim Riley was the best high School basketball coach I've ever seen. He was a great coach and an even better person.

What are the chances Harmon stays in Kentucky next yr and beyond?
Slim to none. He's a road warrior.

Well here we go again. Posters again questioning Cooper and how they can't do this and can't do that and who's gonna guard such and such. Some of these same experts predicted the 2 NKY teams would get massacred in their games yesterday.
Scott takes BG to the absolute wire and frankly while BG survived they were very fortunate. Cooper is again outmanned but does what they always do, play defense and play hard and grind out a win.
Please, please, please keep underestimating the will of the Cooper Jags. True Cooper fans just sit back and listen because we've heard it all year. No predictions other than the 5 that will be on the floor will play hard and leave every ounce of energy on the court. Many doubters might just be surprised at the end of the game.
If you check the poll in this thread, you will see that 70% of the posters think Cooper will win. Sounds like Bowling Green is the team that isn't getting any respect.

Fern Creek wins this one and meets Bowling Green in the finals. Bluegrass Preps top two teams all year will settle it on the floor on Sunday.
-
The Mr. Football Award has lost its credibility. It's a joke. The Blue Grass Preps all state football team got it right and in a timely fashon. I really don't care who they pick, now. BGP is the Cadillac of high school sports in Kentucky.

Bowling Green has won 35 games in a row in region 4.
-
Prayers from Bowling Green.

Franklin Simpson should be on this list. They are a very good team.
-
Great job, as usual, DF.

Two games into the season and Zion and the Purples look very good. Averaging 98 points per with Harmon averaging 21. Again, only 2 games in but looking solid.
Harmon is really good. Confident jumper (crazy high % from 3), as good of handles as you will ever see for an 8th grader and has done well getting others involved.
Should have a great year with a spectaclar team. Fun to watch!
Those first two games were without the football players. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole team play this weekend. It's a great time to be a Purple!

Just keep a list of who doesn't offer him. It might be easier.

I watched that Hudl video. I likened it to a bunch of Cessnas chasing an F-18 Hornet.
Ditto! Too funny Mr. D.
-
Does anybody have any background on Spencer Blackburn. Is he a kentucky boy or did he move here for football? I have not heard of him before this year. It makes a difference for me.
-
This would be a great debate. There have been some very good teams come through BG the last 5-8 years.
I'm going to be very biased, but the 2011 team would get my vote!
I agree. 2011 was the most dominate Purples team ever.
-
Jake Johnson is very good, but so is the DBs from BG.
Didn't they shut him down pretty good last year?
They slowed him down. I don't think anybody can shut him down. He's a great player, but he can't do it all. His teammates need to step up to have a chance at beating the Purples.
-
Belfry 21 Johnson Central 16. Just saying...
-
I know I'm in the minority, but I think the undefeated Wildcats should be the favorites. A loss(even if it was Belfry)is a loss and we all saw what happened in last years final against South Warren. Franklin Simpson is a very good football team that is peaking at the right time.

I think Russellville finslly gets a win over Beechwood. They are experienced, fast and hungry for a title. Russellville. 35-28
-
Trinity by 14. I don't think the Tigers have improved enough to get by the Shamrocks.
