Anyone know where the 22 ft previous coach is headed?
-
I have heard that Bryan Just, who was an assistant at St. X this past year, is trying to start one. My understanding is that, like Findlay Prep and others, it actually will not be a school but a basketball team. The players will go to school elsewhere (arranged by the organizers of the team). I know they have a gofundme page, and think they might be on facebook and twitter.
I'm so sick of gofundme pages for non emergency situations.

Congrats to the young man and Owen County, is that their 3rd player to sign?
4th
Michael Dunaway to Centre
Chad McDonald to Thomas More
Carson Williams to NKU
Vince Toftness to Asbury
-
It lists Carson Williams as the first 8th region player to win Mr. Basketball in over 40 years, but they actually had back to back winners in 1999 and 2000.[/quote
Maybe they mean of the teams who are currently in the 8th region.

Gotta start somewhere. Roderick Rhodes started at Cordia. Gotta go where you will be hired.[/quote
But this isn't where he's starting. He's got college coaching experience already. Wonder if Eminence knew they could hire him before they let the previous coach go?

Evan Daniels tweeted that Rose was visiting Liberty.
-
He and his wife will no longer be in the eminence school system.

Is Peyton Broughton in the mix? I saw him play Owen Co this season and thought he was a very nice player. He is extremely athletic.

When you go south of boone, kenton, and Campbell counties, your are in central northern KY. Lol up here most of us only think of those three counties as "northern ky".[/quote
Owen County is about an hour from Louisville, Lexington, and Cincinnati. We don't have a problem with NKY not claiming us and if you want to talk about a lack of media coverage that'd be us. We do have a weekly paper that usually has 10-12 pages.

I told y'all LMU was very good!

Why did he not get it then? His stats were Mr Basketball worthy. You can argue team success (or lack thereof to begin the season) but I'm not buying that especially considering Carson got it despite his team making an early region exit. There are people in the 4th and 5th region that I know that would agree with my above statement.
Coaches have acknowledged truth to the statement (off the record) as well, which is sad.
I'm not going to bash any kid on a public forum, but IMO Carson isn't the best basketball player in the state. There's two, maybe three other players in the state I'd take over him. And to be honest, if Beverly and Wright don't leave the state he probably isn't even considered a serious threat to win it. Candidate, yes, but an uphill battle to win it.
'I'm not gonna bash any kid on a public forum...but I'm gonna continue to bash a kid on a public forum'
Carson Williams was voted as Mr. Basketball. Stop trying to rob the honor from the kid. The vote is over and the coaches and media chose who they wanted. You can sit and say someone else deserved it more, Carson didn't deserve it, if this had happened..., if that had happened..., etc and it wouldn't change anything.
Your comments really are unfair to KID who just played the game and had no control over who voted and didn't vote for him.
Let it go.

Voting for Mr. Basketball is over anyway. It ended this past Friday.

Son. Yes, I am Carson's mom and while he and his family appreciate the support , he or his family have nothing to do with the recent threads about him. We don't know who the people are who are starting them. In fact I asked that the Larry Bird thread be removed because it just got out of hand and set him up for some criticism that he didn't ask for or deserve. I have quit looking at BGPS for the most part because it's just been too much but got a call about this thread and felt I should address it. I hope everyone remembers that just because something is posted about a player doesn't mean the player or his family have anything to do with it. Once again I appreciate the support that Carson receives, but would really prefer that he not be the subject of anymore of these type threads. Anyone who knows him knows that he is a quiet person and really doesn't like this kind of attention. Heck, I'm his mom and I've heard enough so I'm sure everyone else has too. Thanks and I don't plan to comment on this again.

As far as tooting one's own horn, I hope everyone realizes that things are being sent, posted, tweeted etc... That the players have absolutely nothing to do with and don't even know where/who some of it is coming.

Carson Williams Season Highlights so far 2015-2016
I know it's a little long but I couldn't stop watching. Unreal.

Has he decided on a college?
-
Williams shot 89% from the field.

the opposite side was the Owen County side and it was pretty full. Several NL fans on that side too. It was 4:30 tip-off, OC girls were playing in Indy at the at Bankers Life Field House and the band, cheerleaders, and many other fans were supporting the girls team.Nice player and nice dunk, but why are the stands so empty? -
Willing to bet the players have absolutely nothing to do with their 'campaign flyers' that are circulating
-
Heard that SK got dunked on 3 times in this game. That stat tells me all I need to know about this group.
All the dunks are in the video link I posted.

Hope he has some good assistants. If so I could see practicing both teams at the same time or at least overlapping practice time.
