  1. Hedger is on scholarship at one of the TN OVC schools, Ross is on scholarship at Eastern Illinois and Olmstead on full scholarship at D2 Findlay, but had less competitive offers from Tennessee Martin, Eastern Illinois and 2 Patriot League schools. Deaton is 6'4" LB with 4.6 40 speed.

Deaton was recuited at D2 and D1 but had academic issues that I bet were not nearly as bad as some of Hoods Florida imports!

Sounds like you a bitter with Hood for whatever reason. Just because you think he should have looked at a certain player doesn't mean the kid was a right fit for the program or position.

  2. This was mentioned in one of the commit threads, thought it would make a good topic. I'm certainly not qualified, I've only been here going on 2 years but I do watch a lot of HS sports. Curious as to the thoughts of those that have been around a while? If I miss someone I am sorry, but this far:

    Combs UK

    Stringer Louisville

    Sloan ABU

    Ziggy Morehead

    Purnell Morehead

    Friend FGCU

    Raisor JLC

That's 5 D1 kids, a D2 and a very high JUCO. Slusher at BW holds an offer from Miami but looks like football may win out, and I'm thinking Fieger ends up pitching somewhere. Any others? Any others with offers? Oh, and that's all in the 9th region. Memorial Day at The Freedom is a must ticket.[/QUOT

I'm taking 2014 class. They were loaded with just as many commits if not more.

    Schiever UL

    Sucanek- XU

    Dunn- EKU

    Ross- UC

    Caple- UC

    Spata- Cumberland

    WIlliams- Transy

I feel like I may be leaving a few more out.

  4. And it will be twisted. As mentioned he is in a no win situation. I am a big fan of Barker and I look forward to seeing what he can do on the field. Hopefully folks will reign in their bias and be realistic about his performance. His first ever performance on a college field.

Will be nice to see what he can do

  5. He has one year left and he's going to have a season ending injury again. His body is done. He can't keep up. What is he going to have a chip on his shoulder about? Serious question, do you think Kobe is stupid, dumb and lacking of intelligence?

Because speculation of him being washed up and no one wants to play with him because he's the problem in LA..That sounds like a good enough reason to me.

  6. If people are not wanting to come because of Kobe, it isn't because of his contract. It is because the team and direction of the organization are not trending correctly. Now, Kobe's fault may be that his skills are diminishing and that may be part of the organizational problem, but do not forget that before Kobe started to be hobbled by his injuries last year, he was on pace to be in the scoring title race. Not as if he dropped off the map and they are paying some chump. Potentially he is too old to stay healthy. I err on that side but I will cross my fingers he has some left.

This is to be Kobe's farewell tour. What if he averages 24-25 ppg? You think he is retiring?

Don't forget to add, on pace for shot attempts in league history...

  7. I have to laugh also. Although I'm a huge Beechwood fan, they are my fav team behind Cooper, in every sport as it was my high school etc. but I also get a chuckle over every year about how great Midland is.

Sorry, Midland is a good team but the promoters of them on this site gets entertaining during the AAU season.

    delete.

  8. They will be fine over time.....remember hard to recruit when you are not eligible for NCAA tourneys. And there are more sports than basketball. I think they will be fine in Volleyball. Baseball and Softball, Golf, and Tennis it might be easier to compete against schools that are also hindered by the weather. Soccer I have no clue about.

They will be able to compete in the outdoor sports now that everything is on pretty much a level playing field. It's difficult to compete in recruiting with the A-Sun schools that are based out of the south.

  9. Ludlow has 4 kids that are tearing it up this season:

    Lyons batting .481

    Durham batting .471

    Slone batting .431

    Eads batting .397

If the Panthers had deeper pitching, more consistent outfield play and more consistent hitting at the bottom of their batting order... They really could make some noise in the post season.

    A Lot of IFs
