ive heard jason dunn but i don't think he has enough experience
yeah, a couple of years as an assistant coach at the high school level doesn't qualify you to be head coach in college.

I know several kids that played under Coach Hood. Most of them do not speak fondly of him nor could I. The times I dealt with him and his staff they were rather rude. The kids all seemed to know this was going to happen last year. The rumor I heard was he will be at OSU next year. I wish I could say something nice about him but I can't. The dorms the team stay in are substandard at best.
As of players I'm sure there are some bad apples but all the players I have met were respectful and very nice. Alot of them have even stayed in my home on there way to there own homes I never had any issues at all.
That's not uncommon. Position coaches are usually the ones liked most by players because that's who they spend most of their time with. Head coaches are usually least liked by players because head coaches don't have luxury of forming relationships with 100+ players. When Hood was at EKU as a DB coach everyone liked and respected him and a large majority didn't like Roy Kidd.

John L Smith his offensive coordinator
Dean Hood his defensive coordinator

That's what we're trying to solve here for Coach. It's a group effort.
I offered him my home. What you got? [/QUote]
he can use my gas card and hotel discounts

Compared to what Stoops took over, absolutely.
What Joker took over, a team that went 7-6, 3-5 in the SEC.
What Stoops took over, a team that went 3-9, 0-8 in the SEC.
This is true. So what's the excuse now? According to many, stoops has more talent than recent years and playing in a weaker SEC East that we have seen in years and still can't get to get to 6 wins.
-
Joker took over a good team. Stoops took over a train wreck.
A good team? Maybe a decent team.
-
A realistic and patient fan base but I think that is asking for too much.
Why? he has more talent that any coach has had here in years. Joker was fired in 3 years.

An offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator

Couldn't have said it better.
.....

You are correct that Joker was a primary recruiter under Brooks staff. The recruiting from the Brooks era and Jokers era were similar, however Joker did less with the same type of talent.
I'm not sure I would agree with that. I think Brooks left once he saw the talent was running thin.
-
I suppose that rule of thumb didn't apply to Joker then because recruiting during his tenure was abysmal.
It's hard to compare the two considering joker had already been in the program for 8 years berfore taking over for Brooks. If I'm not mistaken Joker was the recruiting coordinator for Brooks when they had two 8 wins seasons.

I'm not saying PT won't be good somewhere, but I will ask just what we have seen from him at Uk to make anyone believe he will be? He has above average arm strength and?...

Finished the same as last year, but better than Jokers last year. They certainly have work to do, but the recruiting is much better under Stoops than we have seen in a long long time. That said, it takes a while to turn around a 1-9 program, especially in the sec.
Recruiting is always better the first few years when a new coach comes in. The SEC east is weak right now compared to past years.
-
Only reason is because of immediate playing time. Just look how many frosh/soph are playing.
And get beat down game after game? Just because you may play immediately isn't always a good thing. Alot of these kids aren't ready to play but have been thrown to the wolves.

I don't know why any recruit who has a chance to go to another quality D1 school would chose KY..
-
Stoops is horrible and his staff
-
He started the game 5/8, but then the dropped passes & poor blocking showed up
Funny

Do you switch qbs for a different look?

So when you're thrown into the Punt Returner... it's still Interfere?
Don't think he was thrown into, just a bad play

Maybe Towles can get some mop up later.
Spoke too soon

Total narcist, playing like crap so he announces retirement early in the season to distract from how bad he's playing. Oh yeah, and by the way he gets attention the rest of the season...Brilliant move!!!
