In 2011 NKY very well represented on 1st team courier journal all state team. Last year I believe 4 made first team and that does not include 2nd, 3rd and honorable mention.. Just saying... I do believe more kids from NKY should have been on the team this year.

Courier Journal All State Team comes out usually around xmas time.. Thats more accurrate because more than seniors being considered unluck Best of the Bluegrass.
-
Common Opponents - I do not believe CovCath starters played past 3rd QTR in any of these games. I will be real interested in how this match up plays out...
Conner 31 Boone County 19 CovCath 34 Boone County 0
Conner 31 Dixie Heights 33 CovCath 54 Dixie Heights 0
Conner 35 Campbell County 28 CovCath 37 Campbell County 0

Then what is the problem?

Cameron is a good football player. Parents need to stop marketing there kids with threads that are unrealistic. The young man has not even received a scholarship offer from any D1 school. You saw Ryan Timmons last year and you tell me who is better?
-
Who cares.... Simply stated silly topic.. No freshman in NKY makes a bit of difference on Varsity level.
-
Assuming it is a full scholarship to EKU. I was told if was not full but do not know for sure.
-
you will know when you see one get an offer. Are there any legit D1 O-lineman in the 2012 class? -
Awesome news and well deserved!! EKU is getting a good football player and young man...I heard Brett Eyckmans, offensive line at Beechwood, has verbally committed to play at EKU next year. Congratulations to him! -
Bradley Way over Matt Nord....Don't say someone should be on the team without saying who they would replace. -
Agree someone will be getting a kid that can play and not a project. No knock on OL on first team but would take Way anyday. Hopefully the Courier Journal will make that amends.Good to see Bradley Way recognized. Some D1 teams are making a mistake with this kid because of his height.Wofford (my prediction based on absolutely no insight) is getting a very good lineman.

And your point is? We didn't play a perfect game.According to the Cov. Cath. radio guys Covington Catholic was 0-6 in third down conversions. -
Sarcasm, if read carefully you could see that in the second post. So, uh, do you have an official position  -
You better believe it!!If I'm a Cov Cath linebacker, I take the newspaper article and quote from the Enquirer last week when the Highlands RB said that CCH D could not stop their O and pin it right between his eyes on the very first play from scrimmage. He won't want the ball the rest of the night. His team may win, but he won't be celebrating. -
Your D-Line will dominate our offensive line because they are awesome! See you Friday night:thumb:We must have been at different games. Bruns was consistently able to get in between the center & either guard and plug that gap, but CCH did a nice job of bouncing outside when that happened, some by design, some nice running. CCH's O-line & HHS's D-line both played well, but HHS' D didn't perform as a unit as well as they have the potential to. I think you'll see them live up to that potential this time around. Weinrich's ability to make successful adjustments has been proven time & again, and I don't expect this Friday to be any different. -
The birds have everything! Just ask them.Shhhhhh!!! Birds don't have a running game, right? -
Conner by 21. Go Cougars!
-
Good news we will not be playing those other title teams. We realize the great tradition Highlands has but were living in the present not the past. See you Friday night!Do those people see the 4 time defending state championship train? -
I wish Zeke good luck at Auburn but find it funny that his head coach never has come out publicly to defend his prize pupil. Could it be that he is sick of the drama!
-
Great QB and you will score your share of points but so will CCH. Ball control will win the game.Towles -
CCH will show up ready to play!! Keep on talking Bluebirds because you have earned the right and I cant wait to see our Offense line wear your little boys down again. We will finish the job this time. Keep on talking and it will make the victory even more sweet.
-
Remember, the last two opponents were no quick strike offenses which means less off plays for CCH. Our offense is just fine. Highlands did not allow many big plays and we had to grind it out more. " four yards and a cloud of dust "! Highlands scores come quicker which means more off plays for CCH. Don't get caught up in stats vs other teams. The match up will dictate the pace and scoring opps.JB, you are right that it's POSSIBLE the offense isn't clicking like it did in October. -
They also have not played against a physical and fast team that can move the ball many ways since CCH. I am sure the bluebirds did not have any intensity the last time they played CCH.The intensity seems to be higher than earlier in the year. Now, what impact that makes??? -
4 touchdowns really? Whatever, the good news there is going to be a rematch and CCH can't wait to get this party started. Our defense has improved greatly! I realize nobody is going to stop the high powered offense of highlands but minimize quick scoring strikes. Highlands will have to pick their poison on what to stop (CCH run or pass). See you Friday night bluebirds! If not for a few uncharacteristic turnovers in the last game, HHS could have easily won by 4 TD's. That being said, I think HHS underestimated CCH's offensive fire power. Some adjustments will be made on D and HHS will be much better equiped to handle Gabe Gray this week, IMO. Highlands D got noticeably better as the season went on I thought. I think this could be a very close game for the first half with HHS scoring some late TD's to pull away towards the end. Weinrich is very good at making adjustments, especially if given a half a season to think about it, and the Birds will be better prepared to stop the run this time.

What are the true criteria for being considered Top 3:
1. First Team All State
2. College Football Scholarship out of CCH
3. Other
We really should pick an all CCH Offensive and defensive team and that would be better indicators.. IMO
