  1. Good to see Bradley Way recognized. Some D1 teams are making a mistake with this kid because of his height.

Wofford (my prediction based on absolutely no insight) is getting a very good lineman.

Agree someone will be getting a kid that can play and not a project. No knock on OL on first team but would take Way anyday. Hopefully the Courier Journal will make that amends.
  2. If I'm a Cov Cath linebacker, I take the newspaper article and quote from the Enquirer last week when the Highlands RB said that CCH D could not stop their O and pin it right between his eyes on the very first play from scrimmage. He won't want the ball the rest of the night. His team may win, but he won't be celebrating.
    You better believe it!!
  3. We must have been at different games. Bruns was consistently able to get in between the center & either guard and plug that gap, but CCH did a nice job of bouncing outside when that happened, some by design, some nice running. CCH's O-line & HHS's D-line both played well, but HHS' D didn't perform as a unit as well as they have the potential to. I think you'll see them live up to that potential this time around. Weinrich's ability to make successful adjustments has been proven time & again, and I don't expect this Friday to be any different.
Your D-Line will dominate our offensive line because they are awesome! See you Friday night:thumb:
  4. JB, you are right that it's POSSIBLE the offense isn't clicking like it did in October.
Remember, the last two opponents were no quick strike offenses which means less off plays for CCH. Our offense is just fine. Highlands did not allow many big plays and we had to grind it out more. " four yards and a cloud of dust "! Highlands scores come quicker which means more off plays for CCH. Don't get caught up in stats vs other teams. The match up will dictate the pace and scoring opps.
  5. If not for a few uncharacteristic turnovers in the last game, HHS could have easily won by 4 TD's. That being said, I think HHS underestimated CCH's offensive fire power. Some adjustments will be made on D and HHS will be much better equiped to handle Gabe Gray this week, IMO. Highlands D got noticeably better as the season went on I thought. I think this could be a very close game for the first half with HHS scoring some late TD's to pull away towards the end. Weinrich is very good at making adjustments, especially if given a half a season to think about it, and the Birds will be better prepared to stop the run this time.
4 touchdowns really? Whatever, the good news there is going to be a rematch and CCH can't wait to get this party started. Our defense has improved greatly! I realize nobody is going to stop the high powered offense of highlands but minimize quick scoring strikes. Highlands will have to pick their poison on what to stop (CCH run or pass). See you Friday night bluebirds!
