  1. Maybe he should just find a good lawyer, say the county prosecuter, put him on his staff, give him lots of control even though he's rarely ever around. This should help him keep his job for atleast another year. Heard that worked out pretty well for atleast one coach of a 4-7 team that got embrassed on the field over and over again this year. Not sure what a coach can do after that first year runs out and the program is still in bad shape, but hey maybe he can sale his sole to someone else for one more year.
  2. Darkhorse78.... You are clueless. Period. You can take a program to a certain level by just having good athletes come thru the program. However, if you want a championship program, the players have to pay the price from November thru July. If the players don't wanna do that, if the parents are gonna fight it, if the administration is not going to allow it, then this coach should cut his losses and go coach at a program who respects his vision to build a great program. The fact is, the coaches of the other sports should be thrilled to death that the weight program he is trying to implement will do nothing but help their programs improve as well. Join the 21st century. This is not the 1970's. Strentgh and speed win in every sport at every level. Again, you are just clueless.
  3. Why would they hire a coach who isn't gonna be teaching in the school. Sure seems a high risk for a short tenure. Doesn't seem like the best way to add stability to a program that is supposedly trying to build a respectable program. Just one man's opinion.
  4. The job is posted on the KHSAA job board.
  5. I've heard they are just trying to find a teaching position for John Poynter at Bourbon County. When they find him a teaching position, the job is his.
