I think the Colonel O will wear down BW, but more concern over Vocke making it to open field. Young D-backs may have a hard time bringing him down. Going to be a great game with lots of scoring. Have to pick Colonels at home.

Hey TOG --did not see you but glad you could make it! Did you wear a parka? Quite a temp change fron Saturdays game.:-) Although we made it to the Red Zone, could not figure out why we couldn't punch it in. O line did much better this week and glad to see Bir running the ball more. Our defensive players took a beating on the injury side.Wendt left early and Fischer and Harden still in a lot of pain as the team headed out. As in the varsity game, seemed like the D backs had a hard time containing the much bigger Lancer players. Time to learn from our mistakes and turn the page on this Buckeye team. Looking forward to both Boone games this weekend-should be 2 good games to watch. We played BCPWFL so know quite a few of the Rebel players. Have a good week and maybe we will see you there. PS It was a safety :-D

I know guru, point being that is a challenge they will need to learn. No one in the stands had any explanation for the lack of Bir, but a question asked by a lot of spectators. Does TOG have any insight for this game? None of the Dixie fans knew who 60 was in our area.

I thought the O line was not making holes or giving the QB time to read the field. Luke Bir was essentially not used second half of game. Our passing game was nonexistant. Dixie found our weak spot and was able to capitalize. A lot of these kids are sophomores who in the last 2 years have dominated every game except Highlands and are not used to being behind--in fact starters in that class rarely played an entire game because of how dominant they were. Last but not least happy with the D line, but of course I'm a little prejudiced :-)

Thanks for the post TOG. JV games tend to get little attention other than us parents :-) Frustrating game to watch today. Hoping our young men make adjustments for next week

First game of the season--will be close in first half, but Colonels usually come on strong in the second. Agree with C_W_B--much depends on Colonel defense.

By looking at poll results, you can tell the Bluebird fans have visited. Even though this thread was only started ~3 hours ago, I fully expected to see several posts from the faithful in Ft Thomas. As an outside interested party would really like to read some insight on this great match up!

I can see what TOG means--just a heads up--would have made me more prepared for that encounter. Being a newbie wasn't ready for that environment. N KY schools way more classy. I realize you Bird fans have been there already so that being said.....GO BIRDS!!!!!!! BEAT the Eagles!! My avatar may be taken away for that one. :-)

Along with the black jerseys and black under armour sleeves, it DOES make it difficult to pick up who has the ball in their option style offense. Good luck to the crew announcing the game...hope you have "young eyes" for spotters! Go Colonels! (I can't believe I posted THAT! LOL!)
