Really does anybody take those polls serious? I would rank them Clark and Scott 1 and 2 with Mason Campbell and Montgomery fighting it out for the third best in the 10th this year. I know Mason beat Scott early but I thought Scott was real shorthanded that game.

It looks like the top bracket first round games should be real close and the bottom bracket first round games should not.

  2. Yes I would have because I thought it was that bad. You are correct the reason the game was close was not the refs because they were mostly a wash since it was bad both ways. You are also correct GRC made the game close themselves with mistakes and Montgomery made the game close because they played well. Those are the reasons it was close and not the offciating. A Montgomery and GRC game is almost always close because it is a good rivalry between two teams they play very hard against each other.

Thank you. Its frustrating to see the same old lame excuses when a team doesnt always do what fans think they should do. Thats what I was trying to say earlier sometimes you have to give props to the other team for playing well. But it seems like with some teams its always the refs stunk or somebody had a sore ankle or we played a bad game, without respecting the other team.

  3. I listened to this one on the radio after the St. Pat Bracken County girls game. It sounded like Augusta was able to hang around with Mason County missing a lot of open looks. But I will give Augusta credit for keeping the score respectable.

I was surprised but happy to hear that Pawsat got a lot of PT. Mason County is a different team with him on the court.

  4. Great effort by the kids from Montgomery tonight.

Last game it was that Rogers was gone. This game it was the refs. How about just giving some credit to the players for competing against the #3 team in the state.I'll start: Daniels stepped up big for Clark hitting shots from everywhere in the 1st half. Rogers is a beast and it is amazing how he can chase a kid like Prewitt around for an entire game at his size.

Montgomery got a good game from Prewitt. Asberry, Handshoe and Dotson were also making good contributions. Fruth chased Robbie Stenzel and held him to 3 points on very limited touches.

    The Montgomery zone was effective.

The Clark press was effective early in the game.

Good crowd got to see a good game.

Youve noticed that too. Always some reason why the score was closer than it should have been except that the other team may have played a good game and forced GRC into not playing as good as they should.

  5. Kellen Smith has 25 and the Eagles control the game throughout. Mustangs cut the lead to 8 with about 2 min to go. Haynes for Scott played only a couple of minutes.

This sets up a Brossart-Campbell County district semifinal on Weds. 2/23. Should be a dandy. Scott will play on the same night against the winner of Silver Grove/Calvary Christian.

Ive watched a lot of Tenth Region bball over the years and it seems like this district is always tough. Thanks for the District preview, I was wondering how the seeding looked.
