  1. Honestly... All Sk will have next year is D. Lawrence will be running for his life, thanks to the new and lacking o-line. It really killed Sk on the offensive side of the ball to have 6 players up front leave. We will see this year though!!!! P.S. I would put Baldwin against any LB in NKY, because he is the very best in NKY.

  2. Let's please say were kidding when it's between Cooper and Boone. I mean thats just funny. That wont even be a game. Boone will easily beat Cooper Conner and the camels. They will beat Dixie just like they do every year. And sk is so overrated. Ryle will be extremely tough they will have a outstanding team. But Cooper? Come on now haha.

Im sensing a little favoritism ? :sssh:

  3. Is Cooper improved that much?? Or has Boone dropped that much?? Or both??

Cooper in my opinion has the best rb in northern kentucky in Bradley, the kid rushed for 1,000 yards last year with zero help from the o-line, Simpson rushed close to 2500 but he had the bes o-line in the state.

  4. Sage Powell and Chad Lawerence will be running wild this year!!! Go Pioneers!!!

Lawrence is a special player. But the best o-line in the state graduated, i just dont see SK running too much this year. I think that they have a solid 4 or 5 receivers that can get it done. So look for Sk to be more of an aerial attack team, rather than their normal run-balanced offense

  5. Pike may be the best QB in the State as a Jr this coming season. He has a long list of "big time" D-1 schools already interested in him.

I'm not trying to throw Zeke under the bus or anything but he didn't really play QB at all. Ryan Wilson was the starter. Zeke played OLB and wasn't that great. I don't think he's a top 5 guy.

    Who are the schools ?

  6. Jordan Hansel from SK. That offense scored alot of points using his blocking and he always got a double team on defense.

    Linemen......gotta love 'em.

Hansel was a great lineman, but his size was what drove him. Even many scouts have criticized him for lack of mobility and footwork. The supporting cast on the O-line made up for Hansel's mistakes. One key note: I have been to many games and he allowed the most sacks this year. But best of luck to the young man in college. I say Collinsworth.

  7. Simon Kenton? Are you joking? Don't even join the discussion until you've won something or you'll get run out of this thread faster than you got run out of the stadium last year in the finals. Really? Simon Kenton making a claim of any kind even remotely suggesting that it is better than Trinity? Wow!

Well SK did manage to put up 34 on X and I believe that Trinity only put up a low 10?

  8. Back to the game. I have a question for the people from the Ville. How good is Manual??? The game I watched last night, if not for some (almost all) dropped passes Manual should have won. IMO. So I'm thinking if Manual is not a good team how will S.K. be able to hang with X?? I hope this question dosn't upset S.K. fans, just being real.

Manual is a very good team. Im pretty sure they lost to X by 7 and had several mistakes on a wet field. If on dry field Manual wins that game. Manual is a tremendous team.

  9. I would love to see SK pull off the upset here and will be rooting hard for them. That being said, I don't think it's going to happen. You have to witness St. X's speed firsthand to really appreciate it. And I understand the SK faithful will say they are "fast" also. Well so is Ryle. But we are talking about two different levels of speed and the level that St. X is on is simply remarkable. Nonetheless, best of luck to SK this coming weekend. Maybe a few good breaks happen and this becomes the year the championship comes to NKY!

Ryle is no where near as fast as SK. I believe Henry Clay is faster than X. SK has seen speed but have had trouble with it around the edges. I think if SK can stretch plays out instead of give lanes, that they can win the ball game.

    SK 28-X 22

  10. I thought the game was indeed a good one. Manual plays extremely hard, but i believe in the second quarter #62 Danny Williams was hurt and Manual's team did not take a knee. This also happened last year against Trinity when Lawrence got hurt. I just think Louisville needs to show some class. NKY at least has that, and also the play of the O-line in the second half really surprised me. #74 Hansel started crushing people as well as #76 Adam Heidrich, IMO he really has stepped up on the right side after the loss of Picirillo, really taking #71 under his wing and stepping up as a senior. I tip my hat to those 2 boys on the line. Overall a great game, and I cannot wait for friday's game in Louisville
