  1. Big difference in Washington Co. this year is the addiction of Coach Craig Yeast. Just look what he did at Marion Co. last year, he's a great motivator and role model. He makes those kids believe in themselves and has the ability to get the most from what he has to work with. Washington Co. will do nothing but get better with each week! They have a real good shot at a undefeated season and to go deep into the playoffs!

    Good Luck

  2. Well I wasn't at the game , but I just don't seen Coach Settles playing seniors, but I do understand his logic in playing his Juniors whether they Start Varsity or not . All he is trying to do is get as many games under their belts and gain them all the experience they can get. But I will say this I was told by a Boyle County Parent that Boyle also played Varsity Juniors in the game. As for last year I never heard the first person say a thing about Boyle playing Varsity Starters in the JV games. I do know last year Varsity Starters did play for Boyle in the JV game. So Purple Pride92 it really has nothing to do with winning , All Coach Settles is trying to do is develop his players. Now as for their celebration , sure their going to celebrate I am not sure those players have ever beaten Boyle.

  3. Yep, you are right and I failed to consider that in my earlier comment (as has been pointed out to me in a PM). Believe it or not, I was just logging on here to correct myself on that very point.

If you never played a varsity sport then the one year of ineligibility does not apply. He should be able to transfer back to Danville without any eligibility problems.

I apologize to inorout for my earlier comment as we all can see it was I who didn't know what I was talking about. :eyeonyou:

On the bright side, lunch is overdue and my shoe leather just hit the spot.

But that would not be the case either, because he would definitely be transferring back for athletics since they have found him ineligible at Boyle, right!

  4. The play clock was not the official clock. The official clock was in the hands of the referee. There is no guarantee that they were synched.

That said, there were a lot of mistakes by the officials the whole game when I watched the video. To single out this as the only one that had bearing on the game is false advertisement. Announcers are not the experts but merely interpreters of what they see, not necessarily what it. (Did I say that Mr. Network? :D)

It is a shame that there is debate about this "non call" but like I said, there were a lot of other debatable calls and non-calls along the way that also led to points missing or being made. :thumb:

I'm not trying to make a debate about a " non call " all I am saying is why would they even have the play clocks running if they we not insinc with the official play clock that makes no sense! I really dont think they would have been using them if they weren't being set but the official.

  5. That is true. He played offensive guard. He was also the head coach at Lincoln County in 2002 and 2003, before returning to Somerset as an Assistant Coach.

Had the Jumpers won, he would have been the third coach to win a title after leaving Lincoln County (Jaggers at Mercer County and French at Boyle County).

Yeah I know basically Lincoln has ( I will say Lost ) 3 really great coaches in the past decade! Sad !

Thanks Mr Network I thought so, I know that if Robbie had got the Victory today would have meant alot more than what was at stake!

  6. This game will be talked about awhile and especially the no-call on the delay of game (that should have been called) as Boyle County attempted a 38-yard FG to tie the game up towards the end of the 4th quarter.

Even the Announcers acknowledged the delay of game on the radio before the kick was made ! One of them actually counted down the last 5 seconds on the play clock!

  7. I would say Austin Collinsworth hands down if he hadn't missed 4 games.

But how can you be considered for Mr Football and you not even the player of the year in your class. I have no dog in the race! I believe that Antonio Andrews wins it!

(I give the slight edge to dual-threat quarterback Antonio Andrews. All he has done is led the Falcons to a 14-0 record and a date with DeSales this Friday in the Class 2A state championship, where Fort Campbell will try and make three straight championships. The 6-0, 195 pound Andrews has completed 82-145 passes, for 1,589 yards, 27 touchdowns and six interceptions. He has also carried the ball 129 times, for 1,442 yards and 28 more scores.)

If I am not mistaken he also plays both ways at Defensive Bask too!

  8. I would like to Congratulate Coach Robbie Lucas on the Honor he has received and the job he has done at Somerset. Especially after Lincoln Co. dumped on him like they did a couple of years ago!

Also Congrats to the young men on the years that they have had. I take it that the Kentucky Mr Football comes out of the list ?
