  1. Best case, a 6 win season. With the schedule they have, I could see a 3 win season. I wish they good luck and good health. They are going to need it.

I think they went over that fine line with trying to bolster there program with tough teams and it's going to hurt this year. You thought it was bad last year against Colerain, this year will be even worse. Think they will be much improved in 2 years. Don't know if the coach survives that long though. Fans in Union can be impatient sometimes.

  2. It seems that the rosters posted on the KHSAA website are automatically populated by the non-graduating players that were listed on last years rosters. I have noticed that most teams have about 25 players listed and no freshmen listed. I don't guess it's been updated yet for this season.

    Thank's for the update.

  3. I know the feeling. I was encouraged after Boyle lost Friday to Highlands so it doesn't sound strange at all.

I hope your feeling is right. Football season is a lot more fun when Boyle County AND Danville are both playing as well as we expect them to here in TitleTown.

Was very impressed with Danville's team. Athletic and well coached. Don't know much about Boyle Co. but to be up on any Highlands team like that means something. I don't know who is on Danville's side of the 2A bracket but I believe they can get to Bowling Green.

  4. I think it illustrates just how critical QB play is. The ability to read coverages and make accurate throws makes all the difference in the world. Kuntz is not there yet, but he is making significant progress. It has taken 12 games of varsity experiance to get this far.

Just hope he(QB) can start living up to your expectations. Does starting 9 sophs and a QB who was barely 15 have anything to do with it? Praying the young man goes 24-24 for 350 yds and 7 TD's . Really, really hope none of our starting offensive lineman gets hurt because of the great job there doing and how THIN SK is at that position.

  5. At SK, we know nobody is going to win a title in 6A other than T or X. But at least, we do not have to face them until a (potential) title game. I would imagine if you had to face those programs in district or regional rounds every year it would be quite discouraging. Our enrollment is close to the 700 cut off figure used for 6A classification. We are discussing ideas to get below that magical 700 number to get to 5A.

Would love to know how SK would get down to 700 if there at 875 now. Independence isn't exactly shrinking.

  6. It is a unique situation. The way the rule reads, if you have played a varsity sport and transfer, you are automatically ineligible. Then you have to apply for an exception. I have to believe a big part of the exception relates to the school the player is transferring to. So when he received his exception, it would be to NCC and not HC. However, the KHSAA has become much more lenient in these cases over the past couple years so it remains to be seen how they will handle this.

Trying to say is if you have these transfer issues with Trinity, X, Beechwood, Holy Cross, Newcath, or Highlands. The state has got your back!

  7. Scott's 2014 class actually lost its very first game against Simon Kenton their Fresh. year. They didn't really have the QB position sorted out at that time. Osbourne eventually took over and they didn't lose again that season. Lots of talent with varsity experience in that class. The next 2 years should be exciting for Scott.

Did they ask for a "do-over" ?? I guess SK was at midseason form with all the bugs worked out. Fuuny stuff how guys can twist stuff to make there "little-big" school look TOUGH.
