McQueary is an awhful coach. Year after year they have all the talent you can ask for and can never get things together. McQueary is good for nothing but the 3 point shot. When he is on Boone is one hard team to stop. But other than that he can't do anything. Having Travis out for the season doesn't help there cause. I'd be surprised if Boone even wins their district when it comes down to it. At the start of this season I thought they were the top team in the region and top 20 in the state. Obviously much has changed.

That's funny, I remember after the Conner game you said SK wouldn't threaten any team from NKY.... I guess alot's changed since then.
Nope not really. Did they beat Boone? I believe not! I don't care if they won by 30 or 4. A wins a win.
-
Also UKfan, Doss must be a great big man. 2 points for the future of the NBA? Unbelievable.
-
Alot closer than I thought it would be. Chambers must be a pretty good player. Did he play against Conner? Where you at Ukfan???? Though SK had this game by ten?
-
Absolutely no chance at all that Sk beats Boone. Sk is by far the worst team I've scene play from around here thus far.

I believe the Boone County SB said no because of weather related issues and them being out of school.
Wanted to clarify and not give the impression that Boone County just said no they couldn't go compete in a statewide tournament.
And they said no after the 7th grade team was already checked in at the Embassy Suites in Lexington. There was no snow in Lexington, but was snow in NKY. The team actually went to the tourament and watched games but were not allowed to play. Major lack of communication. The 7th grade league tourney was not the same weekend.

How has Holmes looked at the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels?
Holmes 8th grade beat Ockerman by 2 in the closing seconds. This is the Ockeman team that is without Stanley, probably the best player in NKY. Great game, OMS had a 3 rim out at the buzzer. OMS 7th grade won easily, not sure by how many.

Great beer, I usually pick up some in Pa. when I go up that way. Probably will get some in a couple of weeks, going to the Penguins game on 1/8.

From what I hear CC were great shooters tonight. Boone will struggle with teams like them. I defiantly didn't expect this outcome. Good win for the Camels though. Good luck

Boone wins by 20 or more. Only teams in NKY that can hang with Boone is Dixie and Holmes.

Heard not a single complaint from the Pendleton side about how Ockerman played the game. No problem with what Ockerman did.
I was not at the game but no complaints from Pendleton's side.
That's good, it's hard to get kids at that age to back off, ecspecially when they don't play that much. They are well coached and a disciplined team, most have all played together for a very long time. The last thing you want to do is be disrespectful to another team, it usually comes back to haunt you. Ockerman has Holmes at home Tuesday, this should be a very good game.
-
Sharp didn't score any points in the first 3 quarters?
Correct, Ockerman pressed at the beginning of the game, after they were up aroung 16 - 0 they called off the dogs. They cleared the bench for most of the game and ran a set offense. The starters only played 2 -3 minutes in the second half. They were not trying to run up the score, but continued to play tough defense mostly not extending outside the 3 point line.

Farris is the best back on this list.
-
Glad SK played better tonight.
Look who you played.
-
Ockerman 8th grade beat Highlands tonight 39 - 30.
-
I didn't say that I know SK missed a lot of shots though. They only had one three pointer.
It's not about 3 pointers. SK is just awhful and simply got dominated. Just as they will be dominated by Boone and Dixie!
-
Gray 8th grade will have no problem will Sharp, Ockerman beat them 49 - 14. The starters only played 1 1/2 quarters total. At the end of the 3rd Q. they were up 40 - 0. The whole second half they were not allowed to have any fast break points. They pulled the ball out and ran the offense. Play at HMS on Thursday, should be a good game.

He is over rated. Just like his team is. Go Notre Dame Saturday. Make it 3 or 4 straight losses in a row against a Big East team.

Saw the first half of the game. Sk jumped out early 4-0 then Conner just took over and had a comfortable lead all through the second quarter. Hodges looked good. He's a big kid with a big wing spand. I'm looking forward to see him and Brown go at it Friday night. I liked Conner's point gaurd. Jacob Flesch I believe. I thought he was a pretty big player for Conner in the first half. Also Robinson, I believe is a great player. It seemed as if when he was out've the game Sk started to shorten the lead. Sk didn't impress me at all. As I stated about Doss. He is a big player, just is way to slow and non aggressive to really be a factor. Hodges seemed to handle him easily. Sk looked lost on offense. They seem to be no threat to anyone in NKY in my opinion. Good job Conner, good luck Friday.

Final? Can anyone confirm this.
-
What was the final?
-
Another easy win for SK on to 3-0!

I question the bolded above. There is not a starting 5 in NKY that is "real real" good. If there were, they would be top 10 in the state. Boone has a good team but their depth will hurt them and a tight man to man will limit the outside threat.
Your right. But actions are better than words. I don't know very many teams that can matchup with the height of Boone, or anyone who can handle Brown. I look for Boone to lose very few games this year.

Boone-54 Holy Cross-44. And yet UKfan is wrong again.

I think people should stop whining that Coach Fookes ran up the score. If you don't like getting beat that bad don't schedule a team that you know will kill you.
