"W" he hasn't started at least in the couple of games that I have seen but yes he does play/dress with the varsity as does Collins and Centers! He played against CovCath.

I know that Dixie, Holmes, Beechwood, CovCath, HHS and a couple of other teams won't allow a young freshmen to play freshmen ball, if he plays varsity and or even starts or plays a lot on the JV level.

Cooper is the only one that I am aware of that allows this!

No big deal, but I just hope that it won't affect a pretty much unwritten rule of the coaches to keep it frosh who play frosh only tourney.

I also understand the Cooper fan base. They have never won anything yet (they will sooner than later) but at the moment they get very excited about wining anything, even a freshmen game.

Good for them, but gee guy's, I guess you will understand one day why others look at you sort of strangely going nuts, about a frosh game!

Really sorry I only got to see the very, very end of the game due to being in Mason County.

Also if you are saying the Frosh level is not a big deal then why would Cov. Cath sponsor the tourney every year and do the big hype for the finals .You are trying to take the glory away from every Frosh kid who is busting their tail to make it to the finals for the big game that Cov. Cath makes it out to be.

TOG . Why would you sit there and talk about going nuts about a frosh its just like any other high school game ,J.V. or Varsity . As long as my Son or Daughter is playing High School sports I am going to treat it as any other game .So if you can't handle the hype at the lower levels Please don't participate . Stay Home!!!!!!!!!

  3. with about 30 seconds left in the game Cov. Cath was up by 1. Shot went up and on the rebound a intentional foul was called on Cooper( Very Contraversial ) both players had a hold of the ball and remind you it was very physical but the call was made Cov Cath made 1 of 2 and got the ball back . Cooper then fouled on the inbounds with about 20sec. and they missed the front end of the bonus and rebounded by Louis P Maniacci(34) and pussed down the middle of the floor by Tyler Morris (22) and kicked it out to A.J. Collins (31) and hit the 3 with 10 sec. then Morris tipped the ball on the 2 pass out to win the game .:dancingpa

  4. Great win for the Camels, but you never know which Cooper team will show up to play. They only beat Dixie by 2, and beats a solid Scott team. Sometimes in Freshman ball you never who will show up to play.

Its not what team shows up its what ever players the coach picks for that particular game . It depends on who won the contest the night before.:isurrender:

  5. I agree that they have a fantastic freshman class, but do you think all of the freshman will stay down? Not to hurt feelings, but I can see Coach Sullivan cutting some sophomores to move up freshman. Thoughts?

I not sure if he cut any soph. but their are 16 on the varsity squad and heard they are going to keep about 12 for the frosh possibly moving 3 or more to play J.V. . Coach Sullivan will probably take up the 6'5" Maniacci kid . :walk:

  6. I'd love to see this Cooper team play the Dixie's, Highlands, Beechwoods, Boone Co's etc....and get a taste of their own medicine.

What do mean by a taste of their own medicine. They didn't want to play in the small school division in the first place it was out of their hands . The decision was made by the A.D. and Head Varsity Coach.

  7. They have a few kids to keep your eyes on like Tyler Morris which is a very quick and alusive QB and RB . A.J. Collins which is good power back and very good defensive player(LB) (SS). Taylor Centers RB,LB,good power runner and does not like to go down . But they are all good all around players, glad to see Cooper get that group of kids.
