  1. Yes It was Hawthorn that was ejected on incidental contact and no forearm was throw from my point of view it looked as if he raised his arms up for protection and ran into Mason . Hope Tyler is ok but once again bad call by the field Ump.

  2. Easy Jag.....

He knew when the HS Baseball season was.

He came out for the team with that in mind.

    He made the team.

He accepted the position on the team.

He has been playing over other kids (I'm assuming)....don't know him or even who he is....

Assuming he is a very important part of the team and their success.....

He went away for something that wasn't a requirement. (have heard of another player in a different program that left to search for a new house in a different city because of a parent work transfer......no choice there)

AND....if what "Changup" reports.....he chose to miss 12 games and leave his team short.

So from this DIPS@#% 's point of view......in this case, his committment to the Jag's baseball program is lacking.

Spin it anyway you want, but he could have missed any one of those other non school teams or seasons if he wanted to go away.

But you have to respect a kid that knows the consequences, makes a choice and doesn't complain about the outcome......that is , unless you are the teammates of the player that leaves his team short for a significant part of the season and hurts the TEAM's ceeding.

Feel free to call me other names, but on the next cloudy day, when you remove your rose colored glasses, perhaps you will look at it as it looks from an outsider point of view......

First lets start with I don't have rose colored glasses I see perfectly. The best thing you need to do since you dont know the kid keep your opinions to yourself and quit commenting on thing you don't anything about . A.J. had a once in lifetime opportunity and he jumped on it and as far as know everyone on the team had no issues with it including the Coach because it was handled in the right manner . Also it didn't affect any seed games so leave it at that .
  3. I think I have a different definition of "committment."

Please enlighten us with your definition. Don't even question his committment the kid has not ever missed a practice or game in any sport in 12 years ,yes 12 years .he gets 1 week off a year for dead period but most the time he's playing baseball for the Colonels in the summer . He has been injured once in basketball he broke his hand and was out 4 weeks but was still in the gym practicing left handed "the whole time " and he injuried his shoulder in football but still played the game and spent weeks in therapy but still didn't miss practice so "PLEASE "sit back and find out what the kid accomplished before you start running your mouth on the this forum over a stupid week during spring break . He missed 4 games during spring break and none were District seed games so it didn't effect any of the season .

  4. Jag, Hellbird and whoever else. Until this group of kids is consistantly on the field it's going to be tough bottom line. You will have to plug here and there, but not 2-3 at a time. This is no order and my opinion.

    Carr - CF

    Burgos - LF or RF

    Blank - SS

    Collins - 1B

    Dunn - 3B

    Lawhorn - LF or RF

    Shumacher - 2B

    Fussinger - C

If Dunn is on the mound then plug McMahon. If Lawhorn, plug Hawthorn and so on. Not Rocket Science. This is what I feel is the best Defensive and Offensive team hands down. We are not in Little League no more and players need to accept roles, if they are not considered a consistant starter. Shumacker shouldn't leave 2B unless he is pitching and then you plug a player in for him. If this offends anyone I am sorry.

TBC , I agree with your lineup that seems like a great lineup but we still have to cut back on the errors if its not fielding errors its running errors so that has to stop .
  5. Maybe not, but coaching has everything to do with lineups etc. as well as in game coaching.

Hellbird , you know just as well as i do. It doesn't matter what lineup is in there someone is going to complain so just leave it at that . All these kids are capable of playing high school baseball or they wouldn't be out there . They cannot have that many errors and minimal hits to be successful so that has to change

  6. For Cooper it was blake McMahan, Collin Hathorne, Jason Doerman and Jaelin Shoemacker. Let me add also for some reason Cooper's coach didn't think warming relief pitchers up before they went into the game was a need.

Only 1 of the 3 relief pitchers warmed up a little before entering the game.

I agree with the warming of pitchers but the Coaches doesn't have anything to do with the 4 errors and 4 hits . Those kind of stats your not going to beat anyone .

  7. Honest question and from your view as I am sure you had a better view than I.

Both Pick off plays at 1st base that Blue called safe and both times our 1st baseman comes back hot saying he tagged the runner out. One was the pick off from the pitcher and the 2nd was from the catcher.

The 5U fc in the 3rd honestly and truthfully was a blown call. Your third baseman missed the runner and even if he had tagged him he still had the ball in his hand not in his glove. The stolen base by Youngblood in the 7th was the correct call!, as was the last out to end the game!

I agree with one of the calls on first. The throw from the pitcher I would say he was out but the throw from the catcher he didnt even tag on the swipe it was the second tag after the swipe and he was on the bag by then but none the less we can argue all night about numerous calls just leave it as a good game and looking forward to see if Cooper can keep their composer for the next three games and good Luck to the Colonels and see ya Saturday. Glad to see Wardo "Great Guy"

  8. Yes I am!

I do know that he gets ZERO of his athletic ability from his dad!

I know he gets all of his football ability from his first football coach.

I know he gets all of his basketball ability from his first basketball coach( Christie) and sister!!

Yes , are you talking about Christy Schwabe what a great teacher of the game.

  9. Didn't see it. Camera didn't show it.

I've already stated a couple of times now that there were 12 fouls I couldn't tell well enough as to the accuracy of the call.

My Exact point you didn't see it . So don't keep telling me to show you on film everything is not on there . Also Lou probably should of been T'd up it was after I believe his 5th foul maybe 4th at half court they blew the whistle at half court and he went on down and dunked it . It was a good 2-3 secs after the whistle , but again a no call . Just glad its over and now done talking about it. Good luck through the tourney and hopefully Cooper plays well the rest the way . Have a good day .

  10. No question I'm right. I gave you a great chance to prove me wrong and you either DID take a look and found out I was right or you chose to not see if your beliefs were correct. Too bad.

Trust me if I knew you were right I would have never posted , so don't get ahead of yourself . The film doesn't give you a clear view of ever foul or no foul . You did not see everything .

Ok did you think that Louis should of been T- up on the Dunk .

  11. I watched the game closely. I freely admitted, if you would pause and concentrate, that there were 12 fouls called where I could not tell whether it was the right call or not due to the angle.

I like Walter. I FULLY appreciate his effort to promote NKY high school sports and I LOVE the video work he does.

I'll say the following about Walter but it's true of almost every fan. Dude doesn't know what's a walk and what's not a walk and overreacts to any contact on the floor. I ain't mad at him. He's not a ref. He's never had to look at a game USING the rulebook so I FULLY get it. I say this because he's at about 10% on the year for travel calls he said were missed.

Tape is there. Tell me where I'm wrong. Pretty simple.

Clyde , Sorry but you told me pause and concentrate . Heck i was lucky to make it through the real thing . Thanks but no thanks . I've come to the conclusion that I'm WRONG , sorry Clyde it will never happen again . Just like Jester I'm out.
  12. Guys. Your chance is here. The tape is right in front of you. You get to show you know what you're talking about on "touch fouls" and "lowered his shoulder." This is your chance.

Let's go the tape. Tell me where to look.

I didn't say the calls had any baring on the game because the calls went both ways . I was saying that the refs aren't angels like your defending. I'm just glad we are in the 9th region . You still dont anything to stand on because you weren't there.the tape doesn't show what's going on away from the ball and close up . Walter usually has a good handle on what's going on so don"t discredit his opinion when you weren't there . Usually your pretty close on your opinion but this time your way off. Good luck to your team in the Districts .
  13. I just watched the entire game. Tell me where on the tape you think you saw bad calls.

Clyde , No disrespect but just like Jester said you had to be there and you know just as well as I do you don't have different angles on film . Three calls off the top of my head is the two traveling calls on Mcneil back to back when slashing through the lane and then when Jackson barreling through the middle taking three long steps and they call a blocking foul on one of the bigs . Plus they made at least 3 foul calls on players that wasn't even close to the play . The problem was when they made calls they weren't confident with their calls and that didn't sit well with fans or coaches . It was hard to watch .

  14. COOPER 51, DIXIE HEIGHTS 45 – Senior guard A.J. Collins knocked down 5-of-6 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the game for the Jaguars.
