I am not sure how these things are picked...but a team that starts out in the top ten and beats another top 10 team should move ahead of that team, correct? Now if a team started off 20th and beat the number 1 team, I can see where they might remain a little behind them. Thoughts??????:confused:

Good list...someone will always have one they would add or subtract, but it seems a thorough attempt to include a bunch of good players.

The only thing I saw was that China Dow never made it to Manual...she is actually at CAL.

I dont have names...but I know Spencer County was also very young and pretty competitive at the freshmen and JV levels last year. I am not involved in the 8th region. I just know from seeing them on a couple of different occasions.

Oldham County got a very good coach that wants to be there. They will be fine. It may take a year or two, maybe not...it just depends on how the older kids buy into a new system. Don't be surprised if that tradition is restored at Oldham County sooner than later!!! Good luck Lady Colonels.

Hey this seems to be a civilized conversation with several good viewpoints and no one flying off at another person. Are we allowed to have these sorts of threads on here?...of course I am being sarcastic.

We buy all of our stuff from the same supplier and he offers us a good discount, but we still end up paying $100 or so per kid out of our booster account. Our main fundraiser at the MS level is a tournament that we host. We make a big chunk of money in that one weekend and move on.

Not sure why curiosity was peaked...but I have coached and continue to coach MS, HS, and AAU.

I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing here, but I coach and I charge our players approximately $100 each. With that they get a pair of Nike Shox, a travel suit, hoodie, travel bag, and a t-shirt. The fee helps to offset the cost of this package and helps me to keep the fundraising to a minimum. As a parent myself, I would rather pay a fairly small amount of money in the beginning than have to be selling overpriced "stuff" throughout. Also as a parent and being in the education field, I realize money is a concern for families. If this is the case, these families have the opportunity to do a little extra fundraising or "volunteer work" (concessions, tickets) that helps the program in some way to "pay off" the fee. Bottom line is...I have never kept a kid from playing due to financial concerns.

Not so sure it is a one horse race in the 6th...Bullitt East will be tough...Holy Cross returns everyone, Fairdale had two nice players and added an athletic transfer from Manual. Butler will be one of the top teams but lets not send them to Diddle just yet.

Add getting a new coach...if the situation comes to that and...you might be surprised.
