Why didn't McCreary invite some better teams to its home tourney? It's weak as hell, as usual, chock full of nearby teams.
I've not seen the schedule, who all is invited?

Any final score?? I am impressed with the run West has had and wish them the best of luck!!!
-
West is tough to handle. They have Polson who is incredible and others that are tough (such as Elliot, Rehner and Bartholomew) that will really make it hard for Hazard to beat. I'm going with West 58-53

You think the Lincoln game last night took a lot out of the Raiders?
You know, I thought the same thing. Someone said McCreary fought a war to win against Lincoln and West had an easier game against Wayne. Playing the next night really could have worn them down but I also think that after the Lincoln Co win the Raiders were looking past that final win against West. I really hoped to see the Raiders Rupp bound but maybe next year.
Congrats West!!! Hope you do very well at state. Go get em' coach!:ylsuper:

I dont know if they are doing the game tonight, but it would not suprise me if they did. I am sure they treated McCreary like they were their own.
They did as well as McCreary did for them. It's nice to see us cheering for each other. Wanye was greatly appreciated last light in staying and being part of the Raider crowd. Thanks guys!

McCreary has played in two or three region finals since the 1983 team. Wouldn't those games be bigger games than this game.
Regional finals > Region semi's.
When I posted origional it was supposed to read 'biggest game since 83' at Rupp and all region finals.' Clearly my bad :ohbrother:
Anyway, needless to say Monday is an important game and I hope to see the Raiders do very well! :thumb:

Well yeah. I'm replying and agreeing to the post that this would be Watts biggest game (as it also is for Shrock, Roark, Dixon & Wright) in his career. I said nothing about the other years. Of course any finals game would be bigger and if they win Monday then Tuesday will be the biggest game of their careers thus far.

MC closes the half on a 9-0 run.
Wow, sounds like MC could rally back! Should be an interesting 2nd half.
-
The difference is they were not supposed to win then, and no one really knew Watts yet. The win over a barely over .500 West club and a lost to Boyle County doesn't count as big games to me. I am well aware that he played there in 8th grade...
The difference is now it's with pressure, then they were happy to be there were not expected to beat Boyle County. Now, most are picking them to win the region. The past two seasons, the Raiders haven't done well under pressure, failing to get back to the Region. So, IMO, this is his first real big game.
Who would've thought, four years ago, that this would only be the second time they would reach the region? Couldn't of won/played too many "big games" in that stretch. He is a great player no doubt about it, and this is OBVIOUSLY the biggest game of his career.
Honestly I have to agree with you! I think thus far it's the biggest/most important game the team has been in since the 83' appearance at Rupp!! I am so ready to watch it. Should be an excellent game with a lot of heat from both teams. I think each can taste the win but it will come down to who can handle the pressure Monday night. Lincoln want the 3rd trip and McCreary is out for the return they have wanted for years! Will be an excellent match up!
-
It is my radio station but I didn't want to take credit away from the guys at the game. I thought they all did a good job.
I agree! :thumb:

Not if Lincolon Co fans get there first. :sssh:
They may have to clear out the gym before the McCreary/Lincoln game just to fit fans in!
-
That was William Warfield and John Carmichael on the McCreary Central/East Jessamine game and Tim Estes and Billy Harris on the Lincoln County/Casey County game.
I enjoyed listening to it here in Chicago last night. We will have the two semi-finals and the Finals (regardless of who wins) on WPBK-FM Monday and Tuesday.
Oh, ok. I thought it was your network broadcasting. :ohbrother:
They did do a good job, I enjoyed listening to them.
It will be exciting to see that place packed on Monday and hopefully Tuesday if we win~ Monday should be a lively game and I'm excited to watch two very talented teams face off.

We had a debate during football season about discussing player's injuries on this site.
I personally don't think it is ever right to discuss the specifics of a player's injury, including what his coaches or doctors think about it. I just know that if it were one of my sons, I wouldn't want the details of his injury discussed in an open, public forum.
I am a Lincoln County fan but I hope the McCreary Central player is fully healthy and remains that way.
I respect that and wanted to clear up 'hear say' of 'how' and 'what' before they began.
Great job last night on broadcasting the game!

Great!
The Raiders need him. If he is playing with good strength, then McCreary should have the edge. His outside shooting is great.
I agree!! The Raiders def need him and need the full mentality of being able to paly strong!
-
it's a long time between now and monday evening...hope the raiders are at full strength - if they are lincoln can hang their uniforms up until next year!
Was told by the coaching staff that he was at the doc this morning and is getting x-rayed. They thought it was a crack at first but is looking like a bruise instead. It's an injury and I'm sure it's painful but as of now he is still good to go for Monday. If I hear anything different I'll be sure to post!
-
Someone else said he was out. Just curious. He has really been very consistent from the perimeter this postseason.

I think Wayne will pull the upset and win 70-64

What happen to him?
During a hard fall he hurt his tailbone. Should be in good shape to play Monday!:thumb:
