I agree with all the above picks except I pick Danville to beat Pulaski Co. McCreary wins the Region. Go raiders.

I think Danville will end up winning this, but with it being on PC's home court it should be interesting and could easily be an upset.

A rematch from last season with the seeds reversed.

 

Last season, McCreary lost twice to Wayne in the regular season and was the 3 seed while the Cardinals were the #1 seed.

 

After wrestling through Southwestern, McCreary rolled Wayne County on their way to a double-digit win and their first district title since 1990.

 

This season, the two teams only played once, as the other meeting was snowed out and a makeup was never rescheduled (to my knowledge). McCreary rolled Wayne by 20+ points at home.

 

Wayne went 2-3 in the districts, with two losses to Southwestern who they beat in the first round by five. Will they have enough to challenge the highly-regarded Raiders, or will Raider Rob win his second consecutive district title?

You are correct, they have only played them one time this year. The make up game was cancelled due to more snow the day after the Montgomery Co game was cancelled.

I am sticking behind the Raiders on this win for the repeat district title. I dont see it being a 20+ win because the Cards are going to play strong, but my prediction is a 12 point win for the Raiders.

I'm saying that for two reasons: they aren't 12th Region and I have never seen them; they were going to keep Johnson and Corbin in that game in way they could. Madison Johnson should have been out of that game early in the third. They obviously do not know what an over-the-back foul is.

 

Either way, Watts and Co. held on. They had some unforced turnovers that almost cost them the game with just miscommunication.

Before the game some Corbin fans said that they were 13th region.

Another thing - Les was that you throwing your beverage at the McCreary student section?

 

Honestly, I know it wasn't. But that was a very unnecessary thing to do and completely uncalled for.

I was sitting there and seen that too. That was very rude. Those two kids got soaked but held their composure very well. Great win for the Raiders!!
