  1. Rowe is an exceptional student with a full academic ride to any state college in Ky. Right now he seems totally focused on the academics, but he does love baseball and is an overall outstanding young man that gets nothing but accolades from teachers, coaches and fellow students. He will do well in whatever direction he chooses in life.

Could not have said it better myself, Awesome young man!

  2. To echo everyone else, sad news, but not unexpected. Prayers to the family, I cant imagine the pain they are suffering. Had a close relative with similar issues, was sent to jail for 9 months, no one bailed him out....he had a passionate hatred for us for about the first 3 months, then started to figure it out. He has been clean and sober for 4 years now.....says jail saved his life. Hope they administer tough love to give the young man a chance.

  3. Logan Castleman is a baller, the kid can play. He's going to be a great one

Could not agree more...the young man just gets it, football IQ is off the chart. I hope they can find a good fit on defense for Eddie Erdman, kid plays with reckless abandon, not sure if he is better suited for LB or a 1 technique. I do know he is fun to watch.

  4. SK has 87 kids signed up for their freshman team this year. A good group of kids from South Kenton, Twenhofel, and Summit View coupled with a 14-1 season and you have a lot of interest filtered into your program. From what I have heard this will be one of the most talented classes ever to roll into SK.

That number is huge, good for SK, over the past decade it seems as though SK has transitioned from a basketball dominant school to, dare I say it, a football dominant school. They are poised to be the best team in NKY 6A for a while.

  5. So sorry to hear the news...I like many others on this site had the displeasure of playing against Boone County back in the day, they were physical, disciplined and of course well coached. One got one win out of three tries and consider myself fortunate to have that memory. I remember the first game as a sophomore playing against Boone, looking over at coach Hauck, he had a menacing look on his face, darn near scared me half to death! After the game he could not have been a nicer person...an impression on a sophomore that has lasted until this very day. Had the opportunity to speak with him a few times after my playing days were long over...first class gentleman. RIP coach

  6. Agree with both of the above posts, NAIA and DIII are notorious for bringing in 50-60 kids each class, of that only about 25-30% go all the way through their senior year. The football is good, the young men usually bust their butt's, but they are truly playing for the love of the game....not much glitz and glamour at either level. I admire the kids who stick it out.
