All he made were assumptions. having no idea with whom I work or their circumstances he espouses conservative talking points about why people find themselves in poverty. It is insulting to my kids and their parents. As I said, I will let it go, but I will simply have to ween myself. The insults were mean and hateful and had no basis in any known fact. bballfamily had nice valid points. considering i am a "young adult", i have to say that the problems and obstacles that bballfamily said that we young kids do face are relatively close to what ALOT of kids go through on a daily basis.

oh and quit "assuming" that he was talking about your kids. If you use common sense, you can see that he is talking about a certain population of kids that go through struggles.

Bottom line, Ali would have beaten Tyson. Ali had the most beautiful footwork that still to this day no one has equaled. He had the fastest hands for a heavyweight, and he implemented his stick and move offense and was an absolute genius to adjusting to his opponents style.

Tyson...well his gameplan was simply try to knock his opponents head off. Something that worked for him for a short period of time.

Why would a homosexual stating publicly that they are gay be "an issue" any more than a straight man making it obvious he likes women? Isn't it safe to assume it wouldn't be "pushed" if it wasn't taboo?

I do not know of any job in the military where you would have to state your sexual orientation-homesexual or straight- this is something that is clearly a personal issue. You're in the military to protect and serve your country. Not to publicly announce your sexual affiliation.

Gotta agree. Glasgow is a very good team with very good talent. Hope to see WV win but they will have to play nearly perfect in all areas.

No one shot the ball besides Wall and Cousins.........DD offense is nice but when you are clearly dominant on the inside you MIGHT want to throw it there

Patterson should of shown that he wanted it. He got two offensive rebounds on the same play and he threw it both times to Wall while he was 4 feet with-in the the basket.

Good battle from both teams. The Braves Didn't come out strong the third quarter after the cut the lead to 4 at the half. Got beat 8 points in the third to make it a 12 point game going into the fourth. Did a good job on their comeback but you gotta play better defense early on. Good luck to both teams in the rest of their season.

Just a reference to the previous host being on earlier. A lot feel that the troubles have been the lead-in sabotage. Leno's show and ratings have been awful. That in turn affects the local news viewership, which has been down. That's the entire reason Leno got cancelled at 10:00, because the affiliates were complaining. Lower local news viewership means a lower lead-in to Conan. When Leno started, NBC was on the top, and he had no such problem to contend with. It's not like Johnny Carson got another show at 10:00 that tanked to start a domino effect.

Because he's not. He is, however, extremely annoying, and I give him full credit for that.

Well despite what you think...he had the largest number of viewers than any other late night host. You may not think he is funny, however the majority of the rest of the population thought otherwise.:thumb:

Both Coach Jones and Coach Steiner have taken teams in the past 3-4 years to an 8th Region Championship game. Gallatin County was just 10 seconds and a foul away from going to Rupp in 2007-08. Coach Steiner & SK in 05-06.

I agree with Mustang as well. How would they fare at another school?? I think both of these guys would do just as well as they are currently given time to transition to the new school.

Well said buttels. GC should of went to Rupp that year but were cheated IMO. I think Jones would do even better at a bigger school. He gets the most out of his kids which makes them successful.

I was being sarcastic. I think a lot of 8th region teams ( Simon Kenton, Walton, Grant, Williamstown, Gallatin, ect.) are and should be considered into the N. Ky. area. It annoys me to hear otherwise.

How is everyone saying Leno is not funny?!?!?! I like Conan much better, but give Leno some credit! When he was on the 11:30 slot, he always competed with David Letterman! If anything i would love to see things go back to the way they were (very unlikely however)...get rid of Jimmy Falon.

While I'm not sure I agree with funtowatch that Spencer is a dark-horse contender for the region, I'm very impressed with Spencer County; the Bears are just stuck in a tough situation in the 30th vs. Anderson and Shelby, who look to be the top 2 in that district.

 

Logan Dunbar is a mobile, strong player who is averaging around a double-double. He gets up and down the floor and is a bull inside, with a decent jumper.

 

I really enjoyed watching the Bears against North Oldham in a closer-than-the-score-indicates loss in Goshen.

 

At 11-2, Spencer is off to a great start, record-wise, but the Bears really haven't played any top-tier teams yet (although North Oldham has the potential to make the top tier). Their toughest opponents have been North Oldham (5-8, who beat the Bears by 14 in Goshen), North Bullitt (6-7; the Bears have split with North Bullitt), and Hancock County (7-8).

Do you see Spencer Co maybe having a chance to get out of their district? Seeing that they'll prolly be playing Anderson?
