corbin could not hit a shot. 2 of 18 in the 4th, says it all.

Tubular win for the Redhounds. Who looked good for the Big red? Any stats? Friday night at K.N.O.X. will be a nice game.

The score was closer than the game really was. Corbin was pretty balanced but missed some free throws. Have to give Clay credit for not folding the tents when they were down by 20+ points. Corbin quit attacking the basket late in the 3rd and Clay hit a couple of 3s but this game was over early in the 1st. I dont see Clay hanging with South though.

This game was not as close as the score indicates. Clays game plan was to try and isolate their point guard but it didnt work too well. What did keep Clay from being blown out was hitting some 3's and out hustling Corbin late in the 3rd and early 4th quarter. Corbin adjusted their defense and maintained the lead. Corbin just got 1 of their starters back tonight from football and still has 2 key reserves on the bench who are out with injury (Watkins ankle and Hopkins wrist). Both should be back within 2-3 weeks and will add much needed depth to the rotation. Corbins 2nd five would be a very good team in itself. They have the luxury of playing against 5 very good players everyday in practice.

Corbin had a nice crowd with them on the road at Whitley. id say that there was about as many Corbin fans as Whitley. I predict the Clay Co/ Corbin game next week will be a good one.

NL's coach watched the scrimmage against Corbin on Friday so Id say he will implement some things he saw during that game to contain GRC. Good luck to both teams.
