Maybe financing with the shout outs they sold at the youth games. Great idea.

Congrats to Gallatin they had a good night. Even had a boy hit a half court shot for $100 at half time.

Is there a fine for just not showing up for a game?

7th grade she played varsity at Heritage, 8th grade she played varsity at Ryle. 9th grade a half year at Ryle and currently 10th grade year at Boone.
Congrats to Sidney!!!
Thanks Basketball Fever and congratulations to Sidney. Hard telling how many points she may end up with at this rate.

How many years did she play varsity for Heritage?

Glad I had to work tonight. I knew this was going to happen after Gallatin has had almost two weeks off!
Why so much time off? Did Emily Jones get to play tonight?

I haven't read it, but I read another book that Deters wrote and it was the most poorly written book that I have ever read.

Try sitting next to the screamer while video taping the game then give him a copy of the tape. Maybe he doesn't realize how bad he sounds.

This is just an example of one of the many reasons that we don't do the whole Santa Claus thing.

This is an A team at the 7th Grade level. We had selection from 22 boys who tried out. We have kept 10 players, but truthfully should have only kept 6 or 7.
You can't have a bball team with 6 or 7 players unless you like constantly worrying about forfeits and fouls. Can't have a good practice with less than 10 either. The bottom 3 or 4 might not be at the level you would like them to be but you gotta work with the tools you are given. Good luck.

How many games do you play a week? If you are playing about twice per week then 2 nights of practice should be enough. What about getting some scimmages where you could stop play when you need to to give instruction? I have found that to be helpful. No matter what remember that kids play sports to have fun. Try to make it fun for them(and you) win or lose. Sometimes it helps to do something as a team other than playing ball. Bowling, movies, etc.. can help build team. The Globetrotters are coming to town-that would be a fun outing.

I guess it doesn't matter how many points you score if you don't score enough if you lose.
Say what?
-
What is their win/loss record?

Is Carmack out for the year?
-
Too close to call.

Yes, frosh and jv have be cancelled. They have a college game before varsity. It starts at 5:00.
Who is playing? I'm guessing Campbellsville.

Don't get too excited. These two teams will meet two more times, at GC on 1/5 and the All"A" on 1/18. When you are losing 5-6 inches at most positions, that is a pretty good strategy. Also a good strategy for Owen to play zone, considering they can not guard Gallatin man to man and Gallatin had a hard time scoring from the perimeter. Game plans do not always work. Players have to make plays and make shots. Could be the exact opposite next time or two that these teams meet. One thing is for sure. Coach Jones and Coach Duvall always have their teams ready to play and play hard.
Who said anything about being excited. I was talking about 1 game. That is what I thought this thread was about. I agree that there is alot of season left and no one should be counting their chickens yet.

If Gallatin's game plan was to run the ball, their plan backfired.

Watches are not obsolete but you see less of them now that everyone has a phone with a clock on it.
