I am a huge Cousins fan but he is not doing him self any favors.

He is a remarkably talented individual and has a big heart based on his charitable contributions.

He also should never threaten or insuate physical violence against another person.

It was probably not needed to include the brother in the article, and I would say that was a purposeful dig at Cousins, but it does not excuse Demarcus' behavior.

This looks bad on UofL espically when you compound it with what has happened recently with he basketball program but unless $$$ changed hands then this seems like a lot of smoke with little fire to me.

What does anyone expect UofL or the ACC to do to police this? There is no way, that I can see, where you can stop a third party from sending a playbook to an opponent.

Maybe UofL should have reported it, but who do you report that to? Last I checked there were no hall monitors in college football.

They have not had a coach for years.

Sheldon Clark screwed up a bunch of schedules and cost teams money by backing out of District.

 

I think that if a team drops out of District Competition it should require an unanimous vote from the coaches in the District to re-admit them... the only caveat being that if a new realignment is in place, the program can petition the KHSAA and must demonstrate they will be competitive enough to be re-admitted.

 

What happens if they remain non-competitive and choose to drop out after 3 years of alignment again?

 

At the very least there should be some standard in place that when you choose to drop out of District Competition you must 2 years before you can re-join, and if a new realignment does not take place by then you must wait until that next alignment cycle. This would mean Sheldon Clark would have to wait until to 2021 alignment since they dropped out one year short of the 2017.

Sheldon Clark has been down for a long time and it was not helping their program or any other program by them playing in district so they dropped out. So you think punishing a team that is unable to compete is the answer? That seems logical. Bottom line is SC did not do anything shady and simply had to play the cards (pun intended) they were dealt.

Back on topic anyone know who will be coaching Floyd Central?

As a UK fan it is easy to hate on Duke but as a basketball fan I really enjoy watching them.

This team is loaded and it will take a big effort by anyone to beat them if they get healthy.

As soon as the coin toss is over this one will be all Trinity. Lafayette is a good team but they are far to indisciplined to threaten the Rocks.

This was one of the most single sided Semifianls games I have ever seen. I fully expected a good game. I could have seen JC winning by 2-3 scores and leading throughout but did not expect this.

I thought Russell may be out manned in this one.

Belfry was just way to much for the Red Devils. Russell is all class and the Devils should hold their heads high. The score is not what they wanted but they represented their school well and had a great season

I would be shocked if this one is not a running clock.

Russell has had a great season and aside from the Ashland game done everything right, but they are not at the same level as Belfry. If this game is closing is due to Belfry having turnover problems and/or penalty problems (Belfry has been known to do both at times so it is not impossible)

So with 22 players on offense and defense plus special teams you think that Fleming would not have another kid besides their QB even take the field if he played for Belfry? Come on now, that may be stretching it a bit. I know Belfry is great, believe me I know that. But Fleming county does have a few good athletes that I believe could and would contribute for Belfry. Morgan county was terrible this year, and I'm pretty sure that two of their kids could play for even Belfry on either side of the ball. I know Fleming has better players than Morgan did this year so I am doubting that statement you made. Sorry just what I think. BTW, I think Belfry wins class 3A and rolls through everyone. They are loaded.

I have a very small sample size for Fleming but from what I saw against Lawrence I still believe it to be true.

The big difference I saw in the players was the lack of physical play from Fleming. Lawrence was much more physical of the two and Belfry plays a physical aggressive hard nosed style. I am not sure Fleming's kids would transfer over to that style well.

Not saying they are bad players by any means, but I still do not see them playing for Belfry.

As I mentioned I only saw a very small sample of Fleming as the Lawrence game is the only time I saw them. Lawrence who I felt was more physical was completely outmanned against Belfry physically. Again no disrespect to Fleming just my opinion.

The QB from Fleming is impressive and I agree with him being a risk taker.

He threw multiple interceptions in a loss to East Carter 2 weeks ago.

I have a couple rules in life and one of them is "Never pick a team that lost to East Carter to beat Belfry." Of course this only applies to football.

I would be shocked if Russell does not control the game. PCC may push them at times but I expect the Devils to be in control from the opening kickoff.

Conley will be the way player in the field and as long a Russell hands him the ball they will be fine. If they go away from their stud then they may allow PCC to make it more interesting. Good luck to both.

Fleming struggled with a poor Lawrence County team. They have a very good QB but not another single player on their team could step on the field for Belfry.

This game will be ugly fast.

I hope both remain injury free.

Hate it for U.K. but no surprise. UofL is one of the premier teams in college football this year and will remain one of the premier offensive teams as long as Bobby P stays their head coach.

I wish the kid the best of luck except when he plays U.K.

UofL deserves to be in as of right now. Now doubt they are top 4 and I would make them the favorite on a neutral field over anyone not coached by Nick Saban.

Now if they drop another I don't think they deserve to be in but I feel like a 1 loss UofL is much better than the PAC 10 Champ.

In a side note I get sick thinking about what UofL will do to U.K. It being UofL's last chance to make a statement before the playoff decisions and Jackson's last shot to prove he is the Heisman Winner.

Is his team quitting on him if this is their thinking? They looked great against Oklahoma early in the season but were blown out yesterday by a 3 loss team.

I thought they looked great too against Oklahoma, but they also had 3 months to prepare.

What you do in the regular season tells more about how good a football team you are. What you do opening week and in bowl games shows how well coached you are IMO.
