Have not seen either team play this year but as Monroe Co. fan know thra Green will field a good ball team every year. Agree with some other post beating Taylor is not saying alot becaus the are one of the worse programs in the state. Think that the speed of Green's backfield will be the difference and Green will win by 21 or more.
-
=GHSFAN09;4115269]No Green or Glasgow I am a little shocked someone explain to me why?I am also surprised that both these teams are not in the top ten. Feel that as season goes along both these teams will be in the top ten.
-
Number 1 reason Cats won't beat the Gators is talent. Even on a off year for the Gators they still had no problem with the Cats. Florida will be better but I don't know if the Cats will be a lot of big playmakers to replace on offense.
-
If Glasgow can get a strong defense they will be a contender in 2A. Feel that if either Green Co. or Glasgow can come up with a strong defense they will be team to beat in region and can compete in state.
-
Feel that if Green can become stronger on defensive side of the ball they could be a strong team. Also if offensive line can become strong unit they will be hard to handle because backfield will be very strong.
-
Think that Monroe should have a good season again. They lost some fine players but do have some talent returning. Moving to 3A will help in the district as the new district will not be as strong as old 2A district with both Glasgow and Green Co. being top ten teams in 2A. If line play on both sides of the ball improves Monroe will be a factor in the region.

Good win for the Falcons. This is only second win for the school since it bcame Monroe Co. in 1985. The win was a great team effort but thought Tanner Kendall provided the spark to get the Falcons over the top. Congrats for a big win and good luck against Warren Central.

As Florida fan and an SEC fan was glad to see Auburn win. Agree with some other posts all SEC teams Florida, LSU, Auburn, and Alabama have big fast D lineman which teams from other leagues don't have and the last 5 championship games have proven this. Will give credit to Oregon they hung tough all night and they are without a doubt a real good football team capable of going against SEC teams.

Can we just get Gilchrist, Teague and Davis on campus now? I'm so tired of watching Darius Miller. I like him, but he is an enigma. I can't remember a UK player with his amount of talent and athleticism that just never could put it together. I would love to see some fire from him. Get excited, mad, tell off a referee, kick a fan, do something!!!!!!
This Cats team plays hard but I think they're 2 or 3 players away from being a really good team.
Agree Cats lack a few players to be top 10 team. Another big man would help Josh a lot. As for Miller needs to be solid night in and night out. But Cats lost to a good Georgia team on the road is not that bad of a deal because 5 loses will probably win the SEC east this season.

Not that big of a surprise Cats playing a good running team with a run defense that hasn't stopped anyone in years. Agree with some eariler post Cats didn't look like they wanted to be playing. Also agree teams with a 500 record should not be in bowl games. As for Joker he never impressed me as an offensive co so why would anyone except the powers to be except him to be a good coach. Newton I can give one more chance but so far he has not looked like an SEC QB. Also don't think Kentucky will ever be that strong in football not enough in-state players that can play in SEC and Kentucky just doesn't get enough stud players from out of state to have a strong SEC football team.

Watched the game in WISCONSIN with family, with every neice, nephew, cousin, aunt, uncle, sister, brother, armed in full BADGER gear. Great game, great time had by all. 83-year-old dad is a HUGE Badger fan. Who knows if I will ever get to watch WISCONSIN in the Rose Bowl with Dad again. Memories to last a lifetime. That's the stuff that life is made of.
Great post really what life is all about watching games with family and rooting for your favorite team. My mother passed away this past year and my Dad is 84 so know where you are coming from. Hope both our Dads are around to watch some more games with.

I don't.
Agree think Arkansas has something to prove and think that OSU thought thet would be playing for a National Championship.
-
Their record is 0-9. That is 9 chances. And they have not won a single game. I would think 9 chances would classify as many chances.
Agree nine chances seems like enough to beat someone.

I have to go with Gus Johnson and Clark Kellog. Second team is Vern Lunquist and Jay Bilas.
Worst: Musburger and Knight. They are just plain bad.
Can handle Knight because he has as much or more knowledge of the game than anyone but think Musburger one of the worse I have ever heard.
-
I have some doubts about Muschamp, a coach that earned his reputation as a defensive coordinator in a league in which defense sometimes seems optional ...
This year agree Auburn not that strong on the defensive side of the ball but past two years Alabama and Florida both very strong on the defensive side of the ball.

Another thread on announcers/commentators got me thinking. Who are your favorites and who do you think is the best ever?
My favorites today (in no certain order) are Dick Vitale, Bobby Knight and Jimmy Dykes.
I am sure that there are ones that I haven't thought of.
Best of All time.....Al McGuire, Cawood Ledford, Jim Valvano
Agree with best of all time but for today I like Gus Johnson and Jay Bilas.

As Florida fan agree with Cats Cats Cats. Before Spurrier Florida not that big of a program. They had a good team every now and then. Since Spurrier and then Meyer Florida probably one of the two or three best jobs in country. Muschamp will have the pressure on because it looks like FSU is getting stronger again and Miami is trying to work their way back. A swing of a few real good players coming out of the Florida high school system could swing the balance of power back to FSU or Miami. As Florida fan hope Gators can stay on top in state of Florida because over the last 25 years or some best team in Florida has either been best team in the nation or close to it.
-
As Gator fan was somewhat surprised at this hire. He did reallly good job at Texas and if he can hire a good OC feel that he will be very suceesful with the talent he can get at Florida. Looking forward to next season and GO GATORS.
-
Talk about a great time to be a Florida State fan... FSU will own that state for the next several years with the shape UM and UF are in...
State did beat both Gators and Canes this year but remember Meyer won Championship in Second year at Florida. Florida has talent and will get more with right coach they will be back in the hunt in not too long of a time.
-
Hearing Petrino is the early leader...
Petrino was second choice when Meyer was hired. As Gator fan would not mind seeing Petrino as Florida coach the man is a big time offensive coach.
-
The SEC will not let Auburn lose this game. The conference takes pride in winning the national championship.
Agree 4 in a row and a chance for 5. I am Gator fan but always pull for other SEC teams in bowl games pulling for Auburn so they have a chance at National Championship. Also a few weeks back you said Florida would lose to South Carolina and Florida ST. and I disagreed. Will always admit when I am wrong and was off big time on those picks so here's to saying you were right and I was wrong.
-
Agree, BGP site very good communication between fans of the game.
Agree everyone pulls for their team but I enjoy going back and forth with fans of the other team without anyone getting nasty. Happy Thanksgiving all BGP'S and may God bless.

As Monroe Co. fan agree with last few posts No. 50 for Danville is a warrior. As for game Friday night Catholic is a pass first run second team but if you slack off and play all pass they can run the ball also. We were in the district with them for a few years and have no love lost for them. For Danville to win they need to controll the clock and make long drives to keep Catholic's offense off the field with all that being said this Monroe Co. fan will be pulling for a Danville victory Friday.
-
Congrats to Allen on their win. This Monroe Co. Falcon will be pulling for you the rest of your games. Flashdaddy got it right Boards is a beast. My nephew Tanner Kendall for the Falcons says he is the hardest runner he every played against and we played against some pretty good runners in the last 3 years.

Think that Glasgow's speed will be too much for Barren to handle Glasgow by 14 or more.
