  1. I was just wondering if anyone knows what's wrong with Wall? Is he still suffering from cramps or is it something a little more serious? I only ask because I saw him several times during the game on the bench in what looked to be some real pain. He seems to play ok, but as soon as the whistle blows I notice a limp and some wincing. He still got his massages on the sideline for what appears to be cramps so I'm not sure what the real problem is. Any input?

  2. You are more than welcome to disagree, but IMO with Favre there is no way they are not the favorite.

The Jets have the best defense in the league. The Jets have the best running game in the league. Check the stats; this is not arguable.

How was the Vikings receiving core regarded prior to Favre's arrival? I would say that Favre makes Braylon Edwards look like the all-pro he has been in the past. Cotchery, Clowney, Dustin Keller and how about Brad Smith playing the same type of role that Harvin has played; do you think Favre can make these guys better?

I have seen every Jets game this year and I truly believe that Favre would thrive and the Jets would be the favorite for the Superbowl.

:thumb: Agreed on all points, although I am glad they acquired Sanchez. I believe he will become one of the top QB's in the NFL in time.

  3. For those of you who believe the Jets are only here because they are lucky and "backed into" the playoffs:

If the Jets are able to beat the Colts this week, would your opinion change at all? Or are the Jets still a lucky team who don't deserve to be where they are? I only ask because I have several friends who believe no matter what happens the Jets don't deserve to be where they are. I want to see if others agree.

  4. How much confidence do you have in Newton after seeing him play and not just believing the hype? Newtons last 2 games were awful, if his accuracy does not improve over the winter I think the staff goes back to the reliable Hartline or Moss. Just my opinion, and it very well could be wrong.

That's an oxymoron or something isn't it?

  5. For the Jets it all comes down to turnovers vs takeaways. Win that battle and they'll most likely win the game. I think they've finally found out how to do that as well, by limiting Sanchez as much as possible. I really like the Wildcat with Smith too. This is a very good Jets team with the top D and rushing attack in the league. It's also a situation that Rex is familiar with: going into the playoffs with a lackluster qb but great D and rush on O. I'm liking the Jets chances for once in the playoffs and I can't wait to see if they can dominate in the trenches like they did this past week. 17-7 Jets!

Oh.. And I was wondering... Is it Ochocinco or Johnson that Revis gets to shutdown this week??

  6. All I have to say about the game is the atmosphere at Rupp was easily the best I have ever experienced at any sporting event. Atleast for the 28-2 run we had, the entire arena was rockin'! I felt true excitement watching this team play while they were hot, and enjoyed every second of it. Great game Cats, and way to prove you are a top team RIGHT NOW. Hope to see a full game played with this intensity against UCONN.

  7. Man your seriously missing the point. This isn't about how me or you think because believe it or not I actually have the same beliefs as you when it comes to stuff like that. Discarding me being under the age of ten, I have never asked for an autograph or would never want an autograph regardless of who its from. I understand that celebrities are people too and I don't idolize them. Many of my favorite people you would call celebrities are the ones that would be down to earth and that I would have loved or would love to get the chance to hang out with. But okay here's where I have been trying to get at, you ready......

It's not about how I feel about things. It's not about how you feel about things. It's about the way society as a whole thinks about things, and in sub context the way high school basketball prospects view things. Believe it or not Shoe, even though you may not feel that way, or even though some other people may not feel that way, celebrity idolization is big business. You have shows, magazines, websites, etc. dedicated strictly to bring people news on celebrities. Even in sports. Sports Center to an extent does its job to help hype the biggest names in sports, its just what sales to "people" (like I said "people", not you, not me, but "people"). So whether you want to think so or not (just because you, I or some other random joe may not care or idolize) Lebron coming to a Kentucky game would be a big deal to a lot of people, especially recruits, and those in charge of putting Kentucky in a national spotlight. I realize how society looks at things, thus I realize how big of a deal it would have been. Not because I would want to run up and shake his hand, freak out, and get an autograph, but just because of the significance it would hold due to the way society as a whole in general would view it. So like I said whether you feel that way or not Shoe, you cannot look at the whole world and expect every single person that makes up society to have the same views as you do in popular culture. It is in this aspect you have to at least respect the views of popular culture and realize the outcome it possesses on certain things, whether you personally agree or not. Like I have said for like the fourth time now. If you don't think this would be a big deal (not to you as a person, but sporting world pop culture society) then you are living in your own fantasy world and are oblivious to the thoughts of an outside society. Again its not about how you feel, its not about how I feel. Lord knows in a situation like this it doesn't matter. What does matter is how the majority of people would view this, and the majority of people are star chasers, and would say it is a HUGE deal. Thus it is a big deal.

I agree wholeheartedly, and for your sake (and sanity) I hope Jim does too

  8. Got a question on a call in tonight's game. R. Harris drove the lane, made the shot. The ref counted the shot, but called him for a charge (I think)?? Then they walked to the other end and the Stanford player shot free throws. I thought there were not shots taken on a player control foul. The only explanation I can come up with is that the foul was called on another UK player, if so who got called for that foul? Can someone help me out here?

From what I understood on the call, it was a post-possession change foul. The ball had already entered the hoop before the foul was committed. Thus the two points, and then the foul considered defensive. Irregardless :D the whole situation seemed messed up to me. I didn't think a defender could position himself in front of someone already in the air and draw a foul that way. Not too sure what the ref was thinking there.

On another note... Am I the only one who feels like the game is always in hand when it comes down to Wall having the ball in the final seconds? A freshman shooting FT's to send it into overtime should be a very scary thought. Heck, I would be worried even with most high percentage FT shooters. I never worry with Wall. He just seems to be a playmaker who does his best work with the game on the line. I love his competitiveness every bit as much as his athleticism. Terrible game, but great heart shown by the Cats. Could come in handy late March.
