Come on ....Akeem Scott and Chris Mullins from Montgomery Co. and no one mentions Billy Ray Fawns, Tiller, Jeff Taylor or Ken Lee?
Scott or Mullins couldn't wash the jocks of Fawns, Tiller, Taylor or Lee.
I totally agree, some of these who put these names down did'nt see them play.

Final. Super exciting game last night at Frenchburg. Both teams playing hard. Estill hits game winner with 5 seconds left before Mullins from Menifee banks a running three from about 28 feet at the buzzer to give Menifee the win. Great job both teams.
Great win for Menifee and Coach Ricker

I agree. Suprised he only had 1 point. Was it a off night for him?
He is going to have these nights as the season goes on. With good teams that scout, they will start shutting him down some, but he passed the ball well and look to pass before the shot the game which gave the tribe a better look all around, never got frustrated and that was impressive.

So many storylines for the Rebels:
Big comeback for the second straight week.
Rees is contained (if you call 190 yards rushing contained) and plays the last drive on a bad leg in pain.
Goldsmith transfers 3 years ago to Boyle and now is a State Champion QB.
French gets his elusive first state title.
Rebels win one without Chuck Smith at the helm.
Barsotti has no made FG's this year but kicks 2 last week to put them in the finals and the clincher with :04 left to tie it and cap the comeback to force OT.
Congrats to the Rebels! :thumb:

Great win for Coach French, Coach Hester, Coach Goldsmith and the rest of the coaching staff on a terrific year, way to close the deal.

I think that was Hayden's 100th career touchdown.

Is that final ?

Who will replace Hicks?

Good luck.

The Montgomery county boys double's made it to the second round of the state tournament. The first team of Ben Manning and Forrest Thornberry lost out to third ranked team in state, and Matt Razor and Freddy Fredricks got beat out by the first ranked team in state. They had a rough draw but for freshman to make it two years in row is a good look at the future. Congrats to the boys.
-
Hopefully the boys from Montgomery County will make it a round in state, Ben and Forrest came close last year to advance but Forrest had a knee injury that slowed them down, but two years in a row is impressive.
-
I agree, last year Forrest knee got hurt before state tournament, and then Ben's knee got hurt during Highlands match last week. Those kids have alot of talent and compliments each other games well. They should be a force in the next several years. Not making excuses for the lost to Bourbon in region though.

Montgomery wins back to back region, it went into playoffs and Montgomery played Highlands to win.:dancingpa

Montgomery County wins region back to back, awesome job.

Chase Kendrick got beat out by Austin Colliver tonight in a well fought match, and Montgomery County boys doubles got beat out by Bourbon County. The seniors from Bourbon was just to much for the freshman from Montgomery, the Manning kid had a knee injury and hurt them alot. There alot of different scenorios that can play out tommorow with Montgomery still may the regional as a team. Great tennis today by all schools.

Montgomery Co. boys #1 doubles won saturday, play today 3 o'clock. Clark Co. looked strong on saturday, good luck to them.

Montgomery Co. boys lost last match to Highlands and ended up with 2 seed which is where they were last year and pulled it off as eighth graders, hopefully a repeat this year.:dancingpa

Any thoughts how they will do in Region this year?
-
Good choice for this young lady and great job by coach Ricker.

McCloud who?
-
What about Montgomery Co. team this year?
-
Good luck to Grant, we know he make Montgomery proud.:ylsuper:

Who is going to be a contender for the state title in Tennis this year? If i'm not correct, the top three seeds graduated, and that leaves Jimmy Roebker, from Cov Cath, as the top Contender.
I don't think state contenders this year but the two young kids from Montgomery County will give a run before they leave high school.

Congrats to Mac! She is a great role player and a great person. She will play at the next level if she wants to do so. Her basketball knowledge is as high as anyone's in the state.

10th region has been won back to back years for Montgomery, with Thornberry and Manning as double winners as 8th graders and then there freshman years, hopefully they can continue. Single's should show Colliver on top.
