Well you are greatly mistaken because I have seen this young man play and he plays with tremendous confidence and heart. Obviously, you were not at the Cov Cath vs. Beechwood game where he kept his team in the game.

I've also seen this young man play, but I'd say that Shover, Riley, Bryan, Giwa, and Pangallo are all ahead of him.

I cant remember how all three runners got on except the double to start the inning

I didn't attend the game so when I heard you say he gave up 3 runs I thought they would be earned.

Beechwood might have a good shot, but CCH will still beat them by 10+ IMO.

 

I agree with them being favored against HC though. I think this upcoming season could be the first time HC gets a 4 seed in a very long time.

I'm just saying, watch for an upset.

He has a great looking 25+ foot jumper and can run and gun with the best point guards in the state.

I don't think he is even a top 5 point guard in his region.

Couldn't disagree more. You only find out good you truly are by playing top competition and seeing how you fare in these types of games. You can mash the Dayton's, and Villa's, and Heritage's of the world all you want and it doesn't mean a single thing, other than give your players a chance to meaninglessly boost their stats. You find out your team's true ability when matched up against the best and, here in NKY, Beechwood and Ryle are two of the best. You need to know what your best pitcher(s) and hitter(s) are truly capable of in highly competitive and stressful environments and this game is all that and more.

Well said coop. I believe Beechwood had to schedule them due to their D-III conference. Beechwood would much prefer to play the high caliber teams like Ryle and Cov Cath but don't want to give away everything before the regionals. Beechwood has been boosting their schedules lately for games that get cancelled and trying to find other teams that want to play. And does anyone know when the game will be made up?

My son played for Ryle for three years till he graduated in 2006.:dancingpa

I watched the game.. He was not over powering by any sense he struck out the first 4 batters but after that maybe one through his 6 innings.. when conner woke up they put the ball in play and got some tough breaks i would considering woodruff average maybe slightly above... MAYBE

I understand that nothing about him stands out but he held Beechwood to one hit and has looked very solid in his two appearances. So I would have to say he's a little better than average because the Tigers can hit the ball very well.

Why? Not every excellent high school basketball player is good enough to play at UK. You make it seem like it is easy to get a division 1 basketball scholarship.

I never said that it was easy, but when I hear a head coach say something about two players, its obvivous their good enough.

I heard Trey Beuttel is a great role player and would fit well at Central Connecticut State University. I heard he was in contact with the university a few weeks ago.

How would he go D1 if he is a role player? :confused:

How are the Rockets doing this year?

UHA loses Hopson and Edmondson. They'll be good next year but no where near what they were this year IMO.

Woodruff gave up 3 runs in the 6th inning not estes... that tied the game
