  1. Was in attendance for the Mason vs. Fairview game and thought that it was a very sloppy game. Tregg Setty showed tonight he does not like contact or someone in his face. Would have probably fouled out early in the 2nd quarter of a real game if they were keeping track of fouls. Will be interesting to see what kind of season Fairview has, I belive it will be a fight to see who puts the first shot down the floor every possesion for the eagles

  2. Elisha Justice no questions asked, been watching him on the AAU circuit this year and the kid is as smooth as they come. He might be a little undersized but he has got some handles and alot of basketball IQ. Reminds me alot of Ethan Faulkner, the kid can flat out run a team

Don't tell a soul...Good Point he's as good a true post player as you'll find in Northern KY as a matter of fact whose better? He looked pretty good against Barnhill at the state AAU tournament scoring 15 points. Barnhill is a really nice player also he scored 16 points in the same game. Not to many people are going to push Tyler around he's about 15 pounds lighter than he was last basketball season and is really working hard on his strength and conditioning. Averaged 13 points a game last weekend playing against the likes of Barnhill, O'Conner, and Evans (Shining Stars-McFarland). Watched him and St. John wrestle on the block last spring and he more than held his own. He's doing football conditioning 3 days a week and Flynn has him attending open gym basketball twice a week. Scored in the mid-twenties on his ACT test.

Heard his AAU team KY Firebirds are traveling up to Sandusky,OH to play in the Cedar Point Extravaganza tournament this weekend.

Not to take anything away from Mr. Grubbs because he was a hard nose player that showed his skill during the game, but I believe #33 for the DSAS was guarding him not Colt. But Grubbs is a very talented kid and gets it done in the paint.

  4. After watching the state AAU, Colt Barnhill from East Carter can play with any post player in the state!:thumb:

I agree, Jody Demling of the Courier Journal called him a sleeper in 2010 class after attending the State AAU. He really took Pittman out of his inside game and showed all week he could score down low no matter who was guarding him.

  5. I believe you need to include Colt Barnhill from East Carter in this discussion. Many people may not know who this very talented big man is because it is his first year playing AAU and they have had the luxury of playing Elliott in District and Regional tournaments throughout highschool. Look for him to put up some big numbers throughout the summer and ask T. Knipp from Elliott how good this kid is.

  6. Ha Ha Ha Ha, I've watched basketball in the 16th for numerous years now and I dont know if their is a remotely decent official in the 16th. Most of them play favorites to what the name on the jersey reads. Therefore, Im going to go with Bob Kouns. He doesnt care what teams are playing, lets the teams play hard nose physical basketball, and doesnt overblow the whistle.
