  1. Looks to me like NKU has some weapons to build around. Some of the new kids tried to do a little too much but they have some talent, look a little small in the post, and two of their top shooters (Gagai and Rack) never got untracked. I think they will be a tough out in their conference and they can build on the fact that they still beat Louisville in the second half 41-37. I think they will "fix" some of their issues by the Xavier game on Tuesday.

Looks like Vanhoose is finally healthy again.

  2. Louisville's run and gun style of play may just Keep NKU in this game

I think NKU can run with them and shoot with them

Jennings is the only Cards player that is a tough match up

Louisville is likely winner of this game

    but-----

bet NKU hangs around until late

  3. Coming up Sunday, Louisville huge favorite, but has some injuries and

appears to be a little less than a great team. Not sure what to expect from NKU this year, but do they have any chance of competing against Louisville as well as they did a year ago? Looks like a Faulkner Justice rematch from their last state tournament game.

    Worth going too?

  4. Pittman unlaced his shoes at one point during the game because Listerman sat him due to foul trouble. When Listerman came back to put him in, he was slow to get up and had to lace his shoes back up and just played lazy basketball the rest of the game. When he fouled out, he unlaced and even took off his shoes going to the team huddle in only his socks. I was very impressed with Behanan as he was the best player on the floor as he can do it all. I was very disappointed in Knipp's play as he played very lazy and did not look like he was trying at all. As for the Seniors, Justice was the best player on the floor for them. Epley was a nice suprise as he played well. Listerman plays a few guys a little too much in my opinion, hint Barnhill and Pittman. Pittman pouts way too much and is a liablity when he does that. Would like to see Hall and Evans play more in the series as they played well today. Sewell looks rusty after coming off his surgery. Hope the KY team can keep it somewhat close on Friday. Go KY!

So what other big men are you going to put on the floor? Seen both of them play alot this year and would have to say they are the favorites of the big men on this team

  5. The academies do not provide a traditional athletic scholarship. The academies sign up a number of recruits and put them in the "freshman academy" for a year. If they pass this then they are admitted to the Air Force Academy. It does not guarantee them a roster spot, nor are they guaranteed an appointment in the 2nd year. I believe they usually use this for athletes, and it is a good way to establish a pool to chose from.

No this is not how the process goes. After being very close to the situation for the last few years I am well aware of how everything works including the Prep school.

  6. Nope, its a athletic scholarship. He is not committed to anything until after he starts his junior year at the Academy. He will attend the Air Force Academy Prep School for the first year and then go into the actual Academy after that. You are not committed to any service until you attend classes on the first day of your Junior year. It has nothing to do with signing up for service like you would in a normal setting.

  7. This is getting ridiculous and honestly quite pathetic. It's every time these two teams play. These are kids playing. Obviously, the coach wants him to shoot that many times and thinks that they need him to. :idunno:

We get it. East fans think Barnhill is better. Elliott fans think Knipp is better.

Where did anybody say anything about Barnhill? I think that there were a couple of Elliott fans debating Knipp's shot selection and that was it. Please don't drag Colt's name into this when it had nothing to do in regards to him or East Carter.
