The biggest question I have is the Taylor kid for Corbin. I thought he should at least be a second team RB on this list.
-
That looks good to me HDE.

I believe bad coaches can take good talent and have average teams. I also believe good coaches can take average players and make them into winners. If you have the combo of good coaching and good players then most of the time you have a great team. I just wanted to add my point of view on this topic. I believe coach Coldiron is one of those good coaches. Lafayette will be a better team by the end of the season.

What about Coach Donahue from Harlan High School? He has done a great job at Harlan over the past several years.
-
I also really like the way the Shotwell kid plays. He has major get up in his game.
-
Big win for Whitley Co. vs a solid B-ville team.
-
Maybe the region is more open than I first thought. I guess we will have to see what Bell Co. can bring to the table.
-
Hicks and Wright
-
Both of these teams are going to be really good. Scott Co. was the best team at the AAU this summer.
-
Bell Co. will win this game by two TD's. I believe they have the best team in the state other than Trinity.
-
Seems like Harlan has a pretty big Offensive line. What does their Defensive line look like?
They have some strong kids on the D-Line.

Cumberland would be a good place to play the game. It would be a lot easier taking 119 up to Cumberland and the field is much better. Not to mention you have a lot better parking and it'd be great to see a game played again at Harold Shrout Memorial Field. It seats about the same as Cawood doesn't it?
Cumberland has good parking?

Is the field right next to the school? What is parking like? Thanks.
NOT GOOD

HC has a very strong "D" up front. Highlands will have some trouble running at the Bears. What kind of size does Highlands have on the O-Line?
-
I'm pretty sure he /she is talking " smashmouth " football !
Yes, I was talking about smashmouth football.
-
I believe Harlan Co. will be more physical up front. If Highlands crowds the line, HC has two backs that can take it to the house.
-
Hazard will be the Class A state champs.
-
In 1993 we scrimmaged University Heights. Greg Buckner and Lamont Barnes I know for sure played in the NBA. I think Isiah Victor was also on the team. Not for sure though if he made it to the NBA.
Maybe the best team in Ky. that did not win a state title.
-
I would put Bell Co. at a strong second in the 13th region.
-
I would say J-Town may be 1 or 2 based on talent, but Christian Co. is a proven winner the past few years. That is why I would place Christian Co. at the top of my list. GRC is loaded with talent, but has yet to make it to Rupp.

They should be rated number one in my book.

Corbin will be a top 3 or 4 team in the region.

This will be the best game in the mountains next friday.

Big crowd on hand for this cross town rival game.
