Jackie Alexander: Rockcastle County/Army and now at University of the Cumberlands. Playing great for the Patriots!
-
Apparently there was some 'extra curricular activities' right near the end of the game.
Rock will lose two players for the next two games.
Did Clay Co. lose some players as well?
-
I suspect Clark Rowe being lost for the year had as much to do with it as schedule strength although they did beat Perry Central and Russell County without him.
Probably correct. Both physically and emotionally.
Hate that he will miss the opportunity to increase his stats and to participate in post-season.
-
Rock shut out Perry Central without Rowe.
Perry beat Knox.
We will see.
-
Omit a couple of plays from each side and the Rock dominated the contest.
But......"that's why they play the game".
Both teams overcame adversity more than once. Two quality programs.
-
Why did Ms Cornett leave?
-
Congratulations Sara.
And, congratulations to coach Noble, coach of the year, and to Nicole Coffman, twelfth region opponent from Casey County who made honorable mention.

What a year. The girls went to OT last week and now this !

IF "ifs and buts" were candy and nuts, everyday would be Christmas.
IF a cow pie were a butter pat, you wouldn't have to churn.
IF somebody else had won, they would be champs.

Don't know about track because I don't follow that sport.................................
Hunter ran cross country for Rockcastle since she was in FOURTH grade! She plays ball now. Hammonds was a high jumper and McCreary was a sprinter. I think a couple of the state-wide commentators who thought that they wouldn't be able to keep up with a school like Manual were sadly mistaken. Notice that Rock was in the late bracket with less time between games and still outlasted Manual.
-
I get that at 113-23 for those four years. Still outstanding but 133 wins would be 33 wins a year! By the way, Marion County was 115-19 over those same four years.
Rock has been to Bowling Green six of the last eight years with final four last two years. That would seem pretty substantial to most folks. Hammonds has played in Diddle FOUR times, as a seventh grader, freshman, and the last two years.

MANUAL vs ROCKCASTLE
Forget upsets. The cream rose to the top.
-
FINAL
57-38 ROCK
-
Additional info
Both schools under 1,000 enrollment.
Coaches combined 34 years.
Ought to be a good'un.
-
Mercy vs Manual was a big game but how about this one?
Combined 66-0 against KY schools.
Two future Big East players against each other.
Hey, not all the good basketball is in Louisville, Lexington, or NKY.
Ought to be a good'un.

FINAL FOUR
No major upsets so far.
Ranking systems seem to be playing out pretty accurately.
Should be two great games today and a dandy tonight.
-
Twelfth Region in the Final Four three years in a row.
GO ROCK!

Don't sleep on the Lady Indians. This is my upset special.
MCHS 63
RCHS 61
Rockcastle is undefeated in KY opponents.
Madison Central has lost to FIVE teams that Rockcastle has defeated.
Just sayin'

Couldn't have said it better myself.
You predicted MC by 2.
Got room for your own foot?
Or are some predictions "better" than others?
C'MON MAN!
-
Rockcastle's girls are awesome we know this, but the Rockets still have to go to Bowling Green play ball and see what happens. If I were one of Rockcastle's fans I would not be writing on here how you all should blow this tournament up.
Aren't you the one that started the other thread asking for predictions?
Then you gripe because you don't like the predictions?
As they say on that football show:
C'MON MAN!
-
If I started a thread asking for predictions, why would I be surprised if someone predicts a blow-out?

Rebel1984 posted on the Rockcastle-Casey County thread that Rockcastle is ready to roll through the Sweet 16 or something to that effect:confused:
hockey Rebel is one of the classy posters from Casey County.
This is what he actually said.
"Rockcastle has an opportunity to make a serious run next week. Best of luck to them in representing the 12th."

Great Job!
That's four years running the 12th plays on Saturday.
Congrats from Rockcastle Co.
