I was way off in my thinking. JBS has all my respect now. I still think KC will do well in February and March.
-
9-7 I think is very wishful thinking. I would say that Cats will go 5-11. I hope I am wrong and would be more than happy to eat some crow and this be the worst prediction I have ever made!
-
I don't care who coaches at UK as long as they win. I loved Pelfrey as a player and I would love him as a coach if he kept the Cats winning. I will give the same support to BCG as long as he is our coach.

Has any team ever lost three straight BSC title games? There may be something to look forward to next year.
-
actually, you're wrong.
Corbin won their first round game and Jackson did not, thus moving Corbin to the semifinals. the Redhounds lost that game and played the loser of the other semifinal game, thus the next game was for the third and fourth place.
Even though Jackson finished with a winning record, after losing the first game, there was no possible way for the Generals to play for the third or fourth place game.
So, sorry, you're wrong.
Ole' Les usually knows his stuff. He rarely puts inaccurate info out there.

Corbin handed Middlesboro their first loss of the season just 10 days after Middlesboro beat Corbin by 27 points.
-
They lost.
Yeah they lost that game to at the #6 team in the Country and have already exceeded expectations. They have already won as many as last year or are very close. Again....Congrats!
-
Congrats to Tubby and the Gophers. I wish UK was that competitive. Maybe next year...
-
BCG won't be fired after one year. He probably won't quit. BUT, if he doesn't improve A LOT in year two, then he will really be feeling the heat!
-
What about the free throw part? I thought you didnt get free throws on an offensive foul?
I don't think you get free throws on a player control foul.

I sure hope your prediction is true.I bleed blue and I hope that they play 2 consistant halfs....Vandy 73

Tubby was a good coach I give that to him. But the guy could not recruit at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wasn't he the one that let Chris Lofton go? Isn't he the one who recruited Shagari Alien, Morris, Rondo (who both turned out to be wastes of scholarships), Orbzut, and many more players who turned out to be really nothing? This is a rebuilding year and once Billy G. recruits more players that has the potential just like Patterson and fit his style of coaching, the program will be turned back around for the good.
Ok, we have to get somethings straight. Tubby Couldn't recruit at all!!!!!!???????????????? Ummm, I think saying he doesn't recruit great talent and then throwing in the names of Morris and Rondo is kind of an oxymoron. I believe they are both on NBA rosters and Rondo is the starting point guard for the record-breaking best team in the NBA (Celtics). What was Tubby thinking when he recruited those losers? A previous post was also correct in pointing out that We landed Crawford (like it or not) over Lofton and when they came out of high school Crawford was much higher on everyone's list.

Don't know this kid, but I do know that it will be tough for anyone in any grade to compete for the starting QB job this fall. Ryan Moses led the Yellow Jackets to a great season this year as a sophomore. I don't think he is gonna get replaced anytime soon.I really couldn't see him coming to Corbin. He has a good situation at Williamsburg athletically despite whatever problems may exist in basketball. He was getting a lot of varsity minutes at Williamsburg, he will have an opportunity to possibly start on the baseball team in the spring and will have a chance to compete for the starting QB job this fall. I hope he has a lot of success at Williamsburg. -
I have to pick KC in this one

That is funny. I think Knox Central has knocked off Jackson County twice this year. Lost an overtime heartbreaker to Boone County as well. Knox Central may not win (I think they will), but they won't lose by 15.JBS by 15 plus. Now they are getting ready to play with the big boys. -
It would surprise me greatly to see Pineville win the All A. They simply won't do it. They have a solid team, but they are by no means great IMO. I like their coach and I think they have a pretty talented team as well, but Cumberland will not lose to Pineville period.
-
Pineville, if they do not beat Cumberland, will give Cumberland a game.
Doesn't matter if it goes into the triple overtime and Cumberland wins on a last second 60 footer. Cumberland still wins. Almost winning never shows up in the Wins and Losses. Cumberland has too much talent for Pineville. They will not lose to Pineville on any court.
-
Yeah, but I saw Lynn Camp and Red Bird play each other. I saw Harlan at the Hoopin' it Up tourny and I was blown away when I saw that score. I wasn't so shocked that Harlan won, but by 30 was crazy.
-
Didn't Harlan beat Red Bird by 30? What happened there? I know Harlan is way down this year. Did Davis not play in that game?
-
Pineville nor Middlesboro will beat Cumberland on any court. Pineville needed overtime and a crazy amount of free throws to beat Lynn Camp tonight and Middlesboro lost to overrated Bell County tonight.
-
I don't know coach Patterson that well, but from what I have seen of him he isn't going to sit a kid because of anyone's political standing. I may be way behind on this one, so if someone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.
-
Lynn Camp may surprise some teams this year. Pineville came in very highly touted and the Campers almost knocked them off. Congrats to LC on the effort. Congrats to Pineville for pulling it off.
-
It wasn't his fault. He was trying to win with Nick Saban's players...hahahaha. Sound familiar?
-
It's gonna be Cumberland vs. Lynn Camp and the Redskins will win an ugly physical game.

I don't know what kind of publication could leave him out. I mean if you are a sports writer or follow sports and you have ever seen the kid play then it is OBVIOUS he has the tools and deserves the praise.
I remember last year he was a shooter like not many others. His defense is good. He is long and lenghty and faster than he appears. His shooting is pure deadly at times. Even when he is off he is better than most shooters.
Beyond me how ANYONE could have left him out! I guess he is making a statement.
